Friday Favorites: TV Shows, Easter Gifts and Spring Style
Happy Friday! While I certainly can’t keep track of my days, I am happy for Friday and maybe a little break from our routine. I hope you are staying healthy. We have had sunshine the last few days and I have to say it has exponentially helped lift my family’s moods. I am thankful that we are stuck at home in a season when the weather is getting better. Can you imagine if this was at the start of the winter?! As usual, I am sharing some Friday Favorites in home, style and family! It is nice and light distraction from everything else that is going on.

One // Sunny Days
The mostly nice weather has really been keeping us sane this week. Sunday, we took advantage of the nice day and created a “Happiness Walk” for our neighbors. Unfortunately it rained the next day, but the kids are planning to create another one this week.
We also got the opportunity to put up our favorite tree swing again. Seriously one of the best outdoor toy purchases we have ever made. I don’t think this swing will ever old.
Two// Latest TV Shows
Thank goodness there are some good TV shows these days. This past week, my husband and I watched all of the Little Fires Everywhere episodes that have been released. I read the book and loved it. So far, the show matches with the book and I think Reese Witherspoon does an excellent job portraying the mom.
Also, a friend recommended Tiger King on Netflix and we watched the entire documentary this week. I am not sure how even to describe the show..and if you have been watching it, you know what I mean. But it is very fascinating and it really gives you a lot to think about.
I do not know what we will watch next, so please send any recommendations!
Also, if you are looking for some fun movies to watch with your kids, I thought this list of Family Movies from the 80’s was so good! We have covered a bunch of these but there are still some we have yet to watch with the kids.
Three // Easter Shopping with Target and Amazon
I have to admit that I am really bummed about not getting to shop for Easter Baskets at the stores. It is fun coming up with treats for the kids’ Easter baskets. Certainly, you can find a lot online and I am making the best of it (as I am sure you are too!). But I usually fill the baskets with some Dollar Store and Target finds besides a few bigger items.
Here are a few things I ordered from Target and Amazon. I got each of the boys a Lego set and my 13 year old daughter the watercolor set. Then, I got new water bottles and a set of water balloons for each of the kids. Plus, I got each of the kids a summer set of pjs. Now, I just need to fill the baskets with the candy I ordered from Target. It was a little tougher doing all the shopping online. But. I know the kids are excited for Easter and they will love it all.

Four// Spring Decor
This week, we were looking for a little distraction so we pulled all of our Easter decor out. Even if we will be stuck at home on Easter, I still wanted to decorate. The kids appreciated seeing all the Easter decorations and I think it keeps things normal when you continue on with traditions.
Five // Spring Style
Earlier this week, I received my latest Stitch Fix box. While I am not leaving the house anytime soon, it was fun to try on some spring clothes. I have found that getting showered and dressed every single day is keeping my sanity. Admittedly, pre-Corona, I was often in work out clothes for most of the day. But, since there is little I can control right now, it is nice to get dressed and have a sense of purpose.
My Stitch Fix spring box was filled with light colors and spring styles. You can head to this post to see what I kept and what I returned.
Six // School at Home Schedule
We are wrapping up with week 2 of our school at home schedule. I have to say that this week went a lot smoother than last week. I am so grateful that our school has all the assignments laid out. It really makes me give home school moms so much credit because I can not imagine having to come up with lessons plans PLUS support and teach the kids. Anyway, now that our schedule is working out pretty well, I shared our flexible daily routine in this post.
Our routine is a work in progress and there are some days things don't go exactly on schedule but having a plan really helps us stay on track.
That wraps up this week's Friday Favorites! I am linking up with Erika, Narci and Andrea for this Friday Favorites post, so be sure to head over to their blogs as well!

The sunny days have definitely helped to lift spirits around here- thank you for your Easter inspiration…I have to get to Target…brave it out for the sake of Easter anyway! Have a great weekend Jaclyn 🙂
I wanted to buy some things on amazon but the things I wanted didn’t seem available! Glad you were able to order what you needed. The spring weather is appreciated here as well.
Love your blog.. I’m a long time reader:)
can u update the STEM kit link? It goes to the mask..thanks for the great suggestions!
Thank you for commenting and thanks so much for letting me know! It has been updated. Ugh-one of those weeks:)
The sun has been so so nice. Getting outside right now has been so important for my mental health! I need to get out some spring decor like you did, it would help things look more cheery around here. Have a great weekend!
That swing is so cool! I just broke down and ordered some Easter things this week too. I hope they come in on time but warned my boys they may be getting a card with a photo inside if not.
My mom was lucky to get most of the grandkids their Easter supplies before all this, but we can’t really see them at the moment, so that’s a bummer. It looks like you did a good job shopping online!! Love the Happiness Walk your kids did, and that outdoor swing would be amazing just for me right now. LOL
