Wondering what are the best snacks options at Costco? Today, I’m sharing 12 Costco Snacks for kids that healthy and great for on the go! Kids love to snack and it is easy to rack up a big grocery bill on their snack favorites. Costco is a great place to shop for your kids’ snack favorites!
I am going to admit it, I have a love hate relationship with Costco. I love it because there are SO MANY good things to buy at Costco. Everything from the soft bath towels, to socks and of course the food! Overall, I find that the deals on food can not be beat. The best part is that Costco will take anything back with no questions asked. Costco customer service is amazing.
So what’s the downside?
I avoid Costco sometimes, because I end up spending a lot of money! Yes, I have snacks that will last us a month, but my grocery bill was also on the high side (especially compared to my Aldi shopping trips).
Either way, I am not giving up my Costco membership. There is a set list of staples we get from Costco, including whole bean coffee and peanut butter.

Now that school is almost back in session, I am thinking about school lunches. Each school year, I begin with so much motivation and zest to make healthy school lunches. Then, after a few months, I slow down on my excitement for packing school lunches. Can you relate?
Recently, I scooped out all the good kid friendly snacks at Costco. This year, I am aiming for easy but healthy. Some days that will mean a picture worthy “Bento Box” lunch, but most days it will mean a mix of homemade foods with some healthy packaged options thrown in.

No Ice Pack Required Snacks
Kirklands Applesauce Squeezers
Am I the only one who has kids that are picky about their apples in their school lunches? If the apples get the slightest bit brown while sitting in their lunch bag, they won’t touch them. So, even though my kids are a little older, these Kirkland Applesauce squeezers are still a great option.
The best part about these squeezers is that you do not need to keep cold! Perfect option for snack time or a quick after school snack in between activities.
Go Go Squeez Blatz
If you are kids are ready for squeezer flavors beyond applesauce, these GoGo Blatz Squeezers look great! The containers are bigger than GoGo applesauce squeezers.
Plus, the flavors look yummy including raspberry rush and berry madness!
Kirkland Granola Bars
Sometimes, I like to make homemade granola bars, but the reality is that I don’t always have time. These Kirkland granola bars are a great healthier kids snack option at Costco.
A box of 64 granola bars is only $7.99. That comes out to just about 12.5 cents per granola bar!! One of the best snack values around!
Veggie Straw Snack Bags
These veggie straw snacks are a favorite of all of my kids. Sure, you could buy a big bag and divide it up into snack size portions, but it sure is nice sometimes to have the snacks all ready to go!
This variety pack is great because there are different snack type options including chips and straws. Good for the kids who like variety instead of the exact same thing every single day.
Bada Bean Bada Boom Snack Packs
Speaking of snacks with a little bit of crunch, these Bada Bean Bada Boom snacks are a favorite!
These snack packs are only 100 calories and have a good dose of protein. So, a great snack option for adults too!
Clif Kid Z Bar
Snack bars can get expensive, especially ones that are organic and made for kids! At Costco, you can get a 36 count of Cliff Kid ZBars for 16.99, which is the best price per bar I can usually find. (Sometimes Amazon has a good deal too!)
This variety pack has enough options that everyone can find a favorite snack bar in the pack!
Ice Pack Required Snacks
Some snacks do require that you keep cold. However, there are some really healthy options if you can throw in an ice pack to keep them cold.
Organic Avocado Cups
I have to admit that these avocado cups are MY favorite Costco snack. You can use these for everything including eggs, toast and salads.
For the kids, you can pair these avocado cups with tortilla chips or veggies. Also, if you include leftovers from taco night, these avocado cups would be a great complement to the lunch box!
Stoneyfield Yogurt Squeezers
These Stonyfield Organic yogurt tubes are a kid favorite.
MOM TIP: Keep these tubes in the freezer and serve as a icy treat!
These tubes DO usually require adult assistance to open, so it is something to keep in mind if you put in the kids’ lunches.
Babybel Mini Cheese
This big bag of Babybel Mini Cheese is a great value! Pair a cheese with crackers for a healthy snack option.
As a bonus, the Toy Story packaging is so cute!
Organic Hummus Cups
Another healthy Costco snack is these Kirkland Organic Hummus Singles. Sometimes, I just scoop hummus into my kids’ bento boxes, but they do complain that it is a little messy. These hummus singles are a lot easier and less messy.
Include some veggies or pretzels with the hummus cups for a tasty snack!
Great Nut Free School Snacks
Whether your kids have a nut allergy, or you kids are in a nut free classroom (which mine are!), it is good to have nut free snack options.
Made Good Granola Minis
I spotted these Made Good granola minis for the first time at Costco. They are made in a dedicated facility free from a lot of common allergies.
Annie’s Fruit Snacks
Costco carries a lot of Annie’s products including these fruit snacks.
These fruit snacks are also nut free. Another great snack or lunch time nut free option!
More Costco Snacks for Kids
These are not the only healthy snacks you can find at Costco! If you are willing to put in a little more work, there are a lot of options that would require just some minimal prep work.
- Make your own snack size servings with a large bag of pretzels, chips or popcorn!
- Cut up fresh fruit and veggies at the beginning of the week and then you have healthy sides all week long!
- Divide up the large salads (near the meat section of the store) for multiple school lunches (Great lunch for moms too!)
