Friday Favorites: Halloween Recap, Getting Cozy with Mickey and November Plans

Happy Friday friends! I hope you had a fun Halloween. Today starts a new month and the beginning of the holiday season. It’s less than a month until Thanksgiving! As usual, I am sharing some Favorites on this Friday including home, family and style.

Halloween Recap

This past week we really turned up the Halloween fun at home. The kids are getting big now, but they still hold on tight to some of our holiday traditions.

On Tuesday, we carved pumpkins and I made our favorite Halloween dinner–mummy hot dogs! I shared an easy tutorial for these hot dogs over on Instagram.

This was the first year the older kids carved their own pumpkins. It sure made things easier for us. Plus, the kids were so proud to do their own.

Last night, we headed out with the boys to Trick-or-Treat. My daughter had plans with her friends. Since we weren’t all together at night, I had the kids put on their costumes before school so I could take a picture. They were good sports:)

All in all, it was a (wet and cold) FUN Halloween!

Christmas Pajamas

So, what camp do you fall in when it comes to the holidays–A. Bring it on starting November 1st. B. Don’t want to hear about it until after Thanksgiving??

My family loves the excitement and build up of the holidays. Starting in early November we get excited for Thanksgiving, as we host a lot of family, plus we talk a lot about Christmas.

This year, we are heading to Disney right before Thanksgiving. We are excited to get to see Disney all decked out for the holidays and we are attending the Very Merry Christmas party at Magic Kingdom.

I’ve been buying some cute shirts for our trip. Then, this week, I spotted these cute MICKEY FLEECE PAJAMA BOTTOMS for the entire family. It is a win-win because now we have matching pajamas for Christmas. It’ll be nice to put these pjs on after a day at the park!

Target Christmas Dollar Spot

One of my sweet blogging friends sent a message this week because she thought of me when she noticed that her local Target was putting out the Christmas decor in the Dollar Spot. Of course, I had to make a trip over to my Target.

While, the Dollar Spot was still filled with Halloween stuff, I did spot some Christmas stuff. I’m hoping by next week, the Dollar Spot is all HOLIDAY:)

That little cardboard fireplace is a gift card holder–so cute! I love the candy cane jars for storing holiday treats! Perfect container for homemade gifts!

November 1st Tradition

We started our annual November tradition this morning. Take a look at what we do over HERE.

Getting Ready for the Holidays

My friend Keri and I have been working hard on something big for you that will be coming out next week! Sign up for my e-mail list to be the first ones to hear about it! We can’t wait to help you get ready for the holidays. Starting the season on an organized note will really help things run a lot smoother.

This Week on the Blog

This week I shared two other posts. On Tuesday, I reviewed the Bombfell Men’s Clothing Box. The holidays are coming and Bombfell would make a great gift for the man in your life.

Your kids’ pumpkins are amazing! We didn’t even carve ours this year because it’s been so busy. We will be traveling some during the holidays too so we decorate a little early so we can enjoy it. If we weren’t going anywhere during this time I’d wait longer but with all that work I want to be able to see it for a decent amount of time! You’re going to have a blast at Disney! And escape some of the cold to boot.

I hear you on decorating. We usually decorate after Thanksgiving but with out trip this year, we will see. The holiday season is a little “shorter” this year with thanksgiving so late.

So excited for you and your Disney trip- you are going to have a blast- such a magical place anyway and at Christmastime it is that much better! The Jack O Lanterns came out awesome! So much fun- have a great weekend Jaclyn!

Love those Mickey PJ pants! So jealous you are going to Disney. This season is hard for me since we don’t do Halloween or Christmas and everyone assumes that everyone does them. But we do celebrate Thanksgiving!

We had it painted on our wall and then framed with wood trim!

The pumpkins turned out so cute! Two of our kids did theirs by themselves this year too, and it’s so helpful just to have a couple less. 😂 Disney at Christmas is so fun- and we loved Mickey’s Christmas party. The floats in the parade even smell like Christmas- it’s so neat! Enjoy!
