30 Day Spring Cleaning Challenge
We have just spent the last two months decluttering our homes. Now here it is, almost spring, and it is time to SPRING CLEAN our homes! Maintaining our homes is a never ending cycle!
I have to admit that I have never intentionally set aside time to spring clean until the last few years. I’ve never really followed a spring cleaning schedule or plan. Instead I would just clean what I noticed needed attention. However, I found that I would neglect to do some things and when I finally realized a spot needed attention, it would be in bad shape. I’m looking at you, VERY dusty ceiling fan!
Anyway, this year I am tackling my spring cleaning list once and for all (at least until next spring!) I have teamed up with Keri at Keri Lynn Snyder for the 30 Day Spring Cleaning Challenge!
We want to make it easy and fun to tackle these spring chores! First, we have a daily checklist so that you know exactly what you need to get done each day. Just one task each day for 30 days! The Challenge begins on Monday, March 9th. If you join us late or you want to start early, you can download the 30 Day Spring Cleaning Calendar and work on your own schedule!
How to Join the 2021 Spring Cleaning Challenge:
- Download the 30 Day Spring Cleaning Checklist Calendar and join the Spring Cleaning Facebook group!
- Follow Keri and me on Instagram. Starting March 1st, we will work along with you to complete one task a day for 30 Days.
- Purchase the Spring Cleaning Packet for more tips details and step by step instructions for Spring Cleaning Your Home!

Do you need some extra motivation to get started on this challenge?
Here are 5 Tips for Getting Started on Your Spring Cleaning:
Do you need a little motivation to get started? Check out the 5 Tips to Know Before You Spring Clean below!
1. Put in on the calendar
First things first, set a date to get started. You are more likely to get motivated if you have a specific date and time you have set to get started! Our 30 day challenge begins on March 9th, but once you download the checklist, you can start anytime.
I’d recommend you take a look at your calendar and set aside some time each day to work on the checklist. If you need to skip a day due to prior commitments, schedule in the date and time that you will make up the missed tasks!
2 . Enlist help
Does it seem overwhelming to tackle your house on your own? You shouldn’t have to do spring cleaning alone. Everyone in your family can have a part in this project. You can even put your family members initials next to each task so you know who is responsible.
If you have little ones, you can break down the tasks into smaller projects. Or you can team up family members to work together on certain projects!
3. Gather up the essential tools
The worst thing that can happen as you are geared up to start spring cleaning is that you do not have all the supplies you need. Make sure you have plenty of bucket sponges and towels, especially if you are divvying up the work to a lot of helpers! Check that all of your cleaning solutions are full!
4. Follow a plan
As I mentioned earlier, it really helps to have a plan so that you do not miss anything. It is better to get all the spring maintenance done at one time instead of here and there throughout the year. Download our checklist and enjoy crossing each item off the list as it is finished! There are even a few extra spaces on the checklist to add any extra items you want to tackle!
With that being said, if you need to modify the plan based on your schedule, by all means go ahead and do so! There are days we have more time than other ones. Use your less hectic days to get more done! If you have a busy work schedule, maybe you tackle your spring cleaning over 4 weekends in a month! You have to figure out what works best for you!
5. Celebrate your hard work!
If you have been following me awhile, you know I like a little reward after hard work! Just like I suggested after all the decluttering projects earlier in the year, the completion of the spring cleaning challenge should reap a little reward too! Maybe you treat yourself to a few new spring home decor pieces or maybe you take the family out to lunch!
Decide on a reward before you start the challenge and use the prize to keep you motivated throughout! Last year, I had the kids help me with some spring cleaning over their spring break.
When you break down spring cleaning into smaller, manageable projects, it is really not that bad!

Such an awesome printable!! And great tips!
I always need to write it on my planner and have a planned order to get it done! Thanks for the challenge!
Breaking it up this way is super helpful. This year I read a post about how important upholstery cleaning really is for your health. Now I just need to decide a good time to start! (https://www.jeffscdcarpetcleaning.com/5-gross-things-hiding-couch/)
Ok! I never thought of celebrating and maybe building in some incentives to get my family to help- thanks for the tips Jaclyn!
Just signed up!!! Can’t wait to start cleaning ?
Oooh I️ definitely need to join you guys for this! My house needs a good Spring Cleaning!
I’m planning on signing up for your challenge! I seriously need some help getting myself motivated to clean my home and I think this will help 🙂 I normally just deep clean my kitchen and bathrooms, wash my walls, and get my carpet cleaned by my local carpet cleaner for “spring cleaning.” I moved into a bigger home just a few weeks ago, so I’ll definitely need to clean more this spring!
Oh yes– getting the carpets cleaned is a good idea! I usually do that around the holidays.
