Friday Favorites: Outdoor Decor Sale, Mickey Magic and Latest Reads

Hi Friends! Another Friday has rolled around. Which means we are closer to an end to this quarantine, right? Let’s hope! Anyway, I love wrapping up the week with a few favorites. We keep things light on Fridays talking about fun finds in home, style and family.

World Market Outdoor Sale

Are you dreaming of summer time? Last weekend, the weather was nice enough for us to spend time on our patio. It was a wonderful feeling and we are looking forward to more evenings on our patio. World Market is having a huge outdoor decor sale with everything 40% off! You can also get free shipping, but it is not automatic so be sure to apply the coupon code!

I debated on purchasing anything but I really had my eye on this rainbow stripe ottoman and I thought about it for a few days. I ended up ordering the ottoman and two of these pillows. If we will still be required to stay home all summer, I might as well make our patio extra cozy!

If I could do my re-do my patio decor, I would probably opt for a black and white style. But, we have navy cushions and we do not plan to update our furniture anytime soon. So I am working with the color scheme I have and changing up a few details for a new look!

There are so many great outdoor pieces from World Market. You can not beat the sale right now.

Disney Staycation Idea

This week, the kids were on spring break. We had a trip planned to California and Disneyland that was cancelled. So, we put together a Disney day at home. I wrapped up the entire day in this post including what we ate and what we did to make the day have the Disney magic.

The kids loved it and they have asked if we can have another Disney day. I will admit that it did make us want to visit Disney even more.

What We are Reading

This week, I read the new Jessica Simpson biography. I was looking for a easy read and Simpson’s book was great! I am a big fan of autobiographies especially if I have interest in the person I am reading about.  If you are a Jessica Simpson fan or want to learn more about her life, this is a great book to read. Her writing is approachable and you feel like you are really getting to know her.

The Easter Bunny brought this book for my 10 year old son. He read it in a day and actually my daughter read it too (and loved it).  Both kids were laughing out loud while they read the book! The author is a big You Tube star.

My son’s birthday is in two weeks and I have ordered this next book in the series.

It is great to find a new book series for my 10 year old because I find that great book series for boys are harder to come by.

What We Are Watching

If you have read any of Harlan Corban novels, you might be interested in the latest Netflix shows based off of his books. Currently, we are watching The Stranger (an 8 episode series). I had not read the book but my husband has read it. The Stranger is a good mystery/thriller that is keeping our attention. There are a few other Corben shows including The Five and No Second Chance that we will watch after this series.

Truth be told, I am struggling a bit to stay interested in watching TV anymore these days. Hoping spring and summer weather is on its way so we can be outside in the evenings. What TV shows are you watching right now?

Anyway, that wraps up this week’s Friday Favorites! Hope you have a great weekend!

I was all set to pull out our patio furniture this week and then we had snow in the forecast! Maybe in another week or two. I have started looking around for things though; our storage unit where we keep our life jackets was destroyed in Monday’s storm so we’ll need to replace that at the very least.

There are a lot of shows that I want to watch, but I don’t always focus for long periods of time well – when it comes to movies and TV, so I’m so behind on things. LOL I might have to watch The Stranger – that’s the one Coben book I’ve read! I’m currently on season 2 of Schitt’s Creek and loving that. I love the idea of a Disney staycation, though I’m sorry you had to miss your actual trip.
