Cozy Cottage Style Christmas Decor Home Tour
Today I’ve teamed up with 6 other bloggers to share our Holiday Homes! Grab a cup of coffee and take a tour of my cozy cottage style Christmas Decor. Then hop over to the other homes on the Christmas tour!
Cozy Cottage Style Christmas Decor
We are just two weeks away from Christmas. Can you believe that Christmas decorations only get to be enjoyed a few more weeks?! I shouldn’t get ahead of myself! Until then, let’s all enjoy our cozy homes! Today, I am sharing a Cozy Cottage Style Christmas Decor Tour.

Our older home lends itself to cozy and cottage style. It doesn’t get a ton of light and it has some older features. So while I love the look of light and modern, our home really fits more of a farmhouse, vintage style.
It is easy to get caught up wanting to update your Christmas decorations each year but we all know how expensive that can be. This year, I picked up a few new pieces, but otherwise I worked with what I had. Which includes some old and newer pieces.
Warm and Cozy Christmas Kitchen
The new Christmas decorations I bought this year really were what inspired the entire house theme. Starting with this hot cocoa sign that I got from Michael’s. Once I hung that sign in the kitchen, I knew how I wanted the rest of the kitchen to look and feel.
We incorporated a lot of reds, buffalo check and vintage Christmas decorations.
This Ceramic Christmas Tree is a favorite Christmas decoration that I bought several years ago at an antique store.
Christmas decorations are the best at night! These lights around the window really add a sparkle.

Buffalo Check Rustic Christmas Dining Room
Now, moving into our dining room, I incorporated a lot of green and black. The framed tree sign (from Kirklands) was the inspiration for the mantle and this dining room. Initially I had thought about sticking to just green and black colors in this room. But, since I was trying to incorporate my older Christmas decorations, I incorporated some reds into the room as well.

Remember my $7 Blanket hack? This Blanket Ladder set up is one of my favorite Christmas decorations this year.
All three kids play piano now and every day we get to hear an assortment of Christmas Carols. It is so fun to hear our seven year old play Jingle Bells!
This is the first year I have gotten Christmas decorations from Walmart. I LOVE the black house lantern. It is a great piece because it is not just something you can put out for Christmas.
The Buffalo Check Runner is a favorite of mine as well. I use it all throughout the year.

We brought out our Christmas plates this year. They are very special as a family friend gave them to us. It is nice to be able to incorporate Christmas decor that has special meaning.
Displaying Christmas Collections
Speaking of meaningful Christmas Decorations, I have amassed quite a snowman collection. I love that each one of them is so different. If you have a particular Christmas collection, I suggest grouping them together on a shelf, tray or mantle. It really makes a collection stand out when they are all put together.
Colorful Christmas Decorations
While our Christmas decorations is mainly traditional colors of red, green and white, it is fun to mix a little bit of color! We have had these colorful Christmas balls for years and each year I put them somewhere different.
Tip: Bring new life to old Christmas decorations by putting them in a new spot each year!
Colored Metallic Ball Ornaments
Family Christmas Tree
Are you team colored lights or team white lights? I absolutely love white lights for the family Christmas tree. As far as ornaments go, I am not particular and I love our mix of old, new, homemade and travel momentos. For the last few years, we’ve adorned the tree with ribbon and wooden beads. It is a simple way to tie the whole tree together even if the ornaments are a mix of colors and styles.
New this year, I put some of our Christmas books on the window ledges. It is easy for the kids to grab and read their holiday favorites.

One thing I don’t get hung up on is how our presents look under the tree. My little guy came home with gifts from his school Christmas store and he was so excited to put them under the tree. You will not find perfectly wrapped (coordinated) presents under our tree.
Kids Christmas Trees
The final stop of this Cozy Cottage Style Home Tour is the kids’ rooms! My daughter’s tree is light and white while the boys have a colorful, playful style tree!
My twelve year old daughter’s tree has all new ornaments. We picked out everything from Target. All of the ornaments are pink, blue, or glittery silver! We love her tree. It fits her beach and blue room perfectly.
Colorful and unique would describe the boys’ tree. All of their favorite ornaments including many handmade ones are on this tree.
The boys completely decorated the tree on their own:)
