Valentine’s Day Gifts Kids
January is chugging along and we are nearing the end of the first month of 2019. Wow! Since February is just about here, I am gearing up for a sweet and simple Valentine’s Day with my family. One of my favorite things to do at holidays is surprise the kids with a few little gifts and trinkets. We also like to celebrate the holiday with a little family activity whether it is a special homemade meal or a holiday themed movie night.
All of these little traditions add up to BIG memories. My family notices forget to carve out some special times or simply run out of time to do something special! That is when you know that your efforts do not go unnoticed. Anyway! If you also like to treat your family to a few fun Valentine’s Day surprises, I have rounded up some cute Valentine’s Day gift ideas for Kids!
I’ve rounded up a few of my favorite Valentine’s Day gifts that are all $20 or less!
Valentine’s Themed Washi Tape
One of my favorite thing’s my daughter got for Christmas was Washi Tape. She uses it to decorate notebooks, pencils and even her light switch. This tape is perfect for the crafter in your family! Kids love to decorate notebooks, folders, picture frames, you name it with this fun washi tape!

Scented Washable Markers
Mr. Sketch Scented Washable Markers (50% off right now!) Oh my goodness these markers make me think of my elementary days. We have a set of these markers and they smell SO GOOD! This set is perfect because the markers are washable!!
Super Grow Animals Valentine’s Day Edition
My kids always go crazy for the Super Grow pets and these ones are Valentine’s themed. This pack comes with a set of three, so it is perfect if you want to divide up the pack!
Valentine’s Day Mad Libs
My big kids love these Mad Lib books. These books are perfect for the car or to keep in your purse for when the kids get bored!
Valentine’s Day Themed Kids Books
Most holidays, I do try to get the kids a book as one of their treats. And, I am a sucker for holiday themed children’s books! We gather up all the holiday books and keep them in a basket so we can read all season long.
Spat the Cat is one of our favorites and is still a go to book series for my six year old. This Funny Valentine Splat the Cat book is so cute!
The Don’t Laugh Challenge Book Valentine’s Day Edition
If you’ve got elementary and tween aged kids, this Don’t Laugh Challenge Book looks so fun!
It is a best seller on Amazon and I just added it to my cart! My kids love to be the joke tellers!
Gumball Machine
We all know that CANDY is always a winner at Valentine’s Day!! I prefer chocolate but my kids prefer sugary treats like gum and candy hearts! We have a gumball machine that we fill up with seasonal treats, like candy hearts to Valentine’s Day. My nine year old also has a small gumball machine in his room too.
You could fill up a gumball machine and give one as a family Valentine’s Day gift!
Valentine’s Heart Shirt
This tee couldn’t be more appropriate for my boys. All the love for their video games!! I don’t think I can get my nine year old to wear a cute Valentine’s Day shirt like he used to, but I bet he could get down with this gamer shirt!
Valentine’s Day Lego Brickhead Set
This Lego set would be a fun Valentine’s Day activity. My kids have a quite a few of these Lego Brickheads and they are always happy to add one to their collections.

It’s fun to treat the kids to a few Valentine’s Day gifts. Now that my daughter is in middle school, she no longer has a school party. BOO! So, I know she will appreciate a few little trinkets to celebrate this day of LOVE:)
What do you do with your family to celebrate Valentine’s Day?
This is a fabulous list and there are so many items that would appeal to my 9 year-old daughter. The macaron erasers are ADORBS and I actually want them for myself!
These are great ideas. I love the LEGO one. My toddler would go nuts for that. I think he would also enjoy the bathbombs and have fun with that.
Fun stuff!! I make Sadie a little basket for Valentine’s Day – she’s gonna get an LOL doll, some Shopkins, we’ll see what else. And I made up these cute little squishies valentines for her class that I’m going to share on the blog next week!
My 10 year old would love most of these Valentine’s Day gift ideas! The Washi Tape, scented markers, and Super Grow pets would definitely be top gifts in our house. Thanks for giving me some ideas for non-candy Valentine’s gifts.
So cute. Looking at all this made me sad because I don’t have anyone to buy these for anymore. Love the shirt.
These are cute ideas! I have been thinking about what to get my kiddos for Valentine’s Day. We don’t go too crazy. Last year they each got a new St. Louis Cardinals shirt and some candy. This year I am thinking about doing a “fancy” dinner at home.
As a former elementary teacher, Valentine’s Day was always fun to celebrate. Lots of cute cards, candy, and treats. I like the Washi tape to go with the different holidays. My son had a gumball machine just like the one you found. 🙂
