Valentine’s Day is one of my favorite holidays to celebrate as a family. Some years our little family has made a festive dinner together, but most years we’ve found it easier (and tastier) to enjoy a breakfast together.  So today,  I’m sharing some of my favorite and easy Valentine’s Day breakfast ideas.

Heart Shaped Cinnamon Rolls

These cinnamon rolls are so easy to make! I used a can of store bought cinnamon rolls and formed  the individual pieces into heart shapes. I baked in the oven per the package instructions.

While the rolls were baking, I poured the packet of frosting into a bowl and added a few drops of food coloring! Once the rolls came out of the oven, I topped the rolls with the frosting. Then, of course, I then had to add sprinkles for an extra dose of sugar, I mean, FUN!

Cupid’s Arrow Fruit Kabobs

It’s always good to add in a little fruit to an otherwise treat filled breakfast! These fruit arrows are super simple but so festive!

All you need are strawberries, blueberries and mandarin oranges! I sliced the strawberries in half and added 5 blueberries to each stick along with 2 mandarin slices. I used lollipop sticks for perfectly sized arrows.

Heart Shaped Bacon & Eggs

My family loves bacon, so it is must have for a Valentine’s themed breakfast. I simply shaped the bacon strips into heart shapes before putting them in the oven. I cook the bacon in the oven at 400 degrees for 15 minutes or so. I always keep on eye on the bacon to be sure it doesn’t get burnt. Be sure to line a baking sheet with tin foil as it makes for an easy clean up!

They do shrink up a bit after cooking, but they are still adorable!

I made the heart shaped eggs with my new heart shaped silicone baking cups. Egg cups are so adaptable to your taste. You can add whatever cheese and veggies you like!

Heart Shaped Egg Cups (For a 6 cup muffin tin)

8 eggs

1/4 cup shredded cheese (any variety!)

1/2 cup-3/4 cup veggie of choice

Dash of salt and pepper

Whisk the eggs together in a bowl. Add cheese and veggies and stir together. Pour egg mixture in egg mold and bake at 350 for 15 minutes or until the eggs are firm (not runny at all).

Additional Easy Valentine’s Day Breakfast Ideas Include:

Fruit Parfaits with strawberries and raspberries (sticking to the Valentine’s Day color theme!)

Build Your Own Waffle Bar including fun toppings : dark or white chocolate chips, strawberries, Nutella, chocolate syrup, red and pink sprinkles, bananas & whipped cream!

Made to Order Smoothies: Let the kids choose their individual mix ins to get a festive pink or red flavored smoothie!

Hot Chocolate Bar: I shared my tips for a Hot Cocoa Bar in this post. Be sure to include holiday themed toppings like sprinkles and heart shaped candy!

Valentine’s Day Breakfast Decor

I always make things a little more festive by setting the table!  I was able to find things around the home to set our Valentine’s Day table. I used a pink scarf (from the Target Dollar Spot) for the table runner and gathering the LOVE sign and cake pedestal from other spots in our house. Always shop your house before you head to the store to buy more things!

How to Plan a Valentine's Day Breakfast for Your Family

I surprised the kids with this Valentine’s Breakfast for dinner recently and the kids loved it! Seriously what can be better than breakfast for dinner?! My kids love breakfast foods and I find it an easier meal to prepare than lunch or dinner!
