I have a confession to make….I’m a little nervous telling you this but….I don’t like Starbuck’s Pumpkin Spice Lattes. Gulp. I hope I don’t lose any readers by admitting this. I totally get the #PSL obsession. The smell, the spices, the warm drink in hand. I’ve certainly had a few PSLs in my life. But over the last few years they have gotten too sweet for my taste. I am completely on the pumpkin bandwagon-just not those. So, today, I’ll share my pumpkin favorites and a fall home tour!

First, I’ll share my current two favorite PUMPKIN SPICE FOODS!

Boom Chicka Candy Corn Flavored Kettle Corn

When I was at the grocery store the other day, I saw this and had to try. Amazing! Do not buy if you aren’t willing to eat the whole bag in one sitting. There are SO MANY pumpkin spice food products out there, but this popcorn is truly a winner!

Homemade Pumpkin Spice Muffins

We always celebrate the season with our favorite fall recipe–>pumpkin spice muffins with chocolate chips! We actually make these all year round but I try to have on a weekly rotation in the fall. The kids request these all the time and I always double to make a big batch.

Just to show how well loved this recipe is…oil marks and all!

Fall Home Tour

Besides tasting the foods of fall,  I also love bringing in fall accents to the home.

Over the weekend, I got into our attic and brought out all of our fall decorations. To my surprise, I had four big bins of fall and Halloween decor. Ugh how have I acquired so much? I’m so glad I got it out early so I can see what I have. Otherwise I would be overbuying at the stores. Although can you ever have TOO many pumpkins?

I am starting small with adding in just fall things. I’m saving Halloween for a few more weeks. I first brought out everything I had and put it on my dining room table. Then I gathered up all my summer decor and put it away. Once my space was cleared out, I inserted pumpkins and more pumpkins around the house.

Getting the Home Ready for Fall

This season I am trying to do less actual decorations and more of just moving things around and adding in fall color. So hopefully I haven’t added too much additional clutter to the house!

Transitioning the Home to Fall Decor

I added my soup pot out on the stove. It adds some color and feels cozy. Plus it reminds me that I should be making soup this time of year! My favorite new update is the Lightbox in my kitchen. The kids and I love changing out the messages daily or weekly!

Fall Decor on Farmhouse Shelves

I love changing things around at our coffee bar. Added my fall themed Rae Dunn mugs #dunngroupie and swapped out summer colors with  more muted tones. Still plan to add a few more orange and red touches.

Farmhouse Kitchen Chalkboard

Erased our summer fun list and now I need to find some inspiration for a fall chalkboard. Soon I will add a blanket to the bench for an extra cozy feel.

Gumball Machine Filled with Candy Corn

I swapped out gumballs for candy corn to put in one of my favorite craigslist finds.

Apple Themed Fall Mantel

Changing out the fireplace garland is one of my favorite and easy things to do to update for the seasons. This apple garland I found at the Target dollar spot last year. I change out the flowers in the vase for each season as well.

Group Fall Themed Children's Book as Decor

I picked up this bucket at Homegoods a few weeks ago and filled with our favorite fall/Halloween books. We like to gather all the holiday and seasonal related books  and display in our family room for easy reading! I find that we read the seasonal books more if they are readily available then digging around our bookshelf for each one of them. Some of our favorite books of the fall season here, here and here.

I couldn’t totally get away with keeping the Halloween decor away for a few more weeks. This little guy spotted the orange lights when he was helping me. How could I tell him no?! I love things looking pretty and organized in my house but sometimes kids win and it’s more fun to keep it playful anyway!

Easy Fall Decorating Ideas

I am on the hunt for the perfect fall smelling candle so if you have any suggestions please send my way! I did find this amazing smelling candle from a local boutique near me. It smells like the name implies–Sunday Brunch. I have several of these candles and the best thing is they have a great smell without even lighting them.

I’ve just got a few more things to buy including mums and real pumpkins. Then, hopefully, I can find some time to snuggle on the couch with a warm drink and cozy blanket. What are some of your fall favorites? I’d love to hear from you and see how you bring fall into your home!
