Happy Friday! I hope you had a great week! We’ve had a few days of springlike weather and it has been wonderful. There is something about the sunshine that gets me a little more motivated to get things done. It has been a busy week and I am working on a lot of exciting things on the blog these next few months. As usual, I am recapping the week with my Friday Favorites. Sharing a little bit of mom life and my latest favorite finds and products!
Spring Fun List
First things first, we finally got around to updating our kitchen chalkboard! After sitting blank for over a month, we decided to use the spot to write down our spring plans.
We kept it simple but this chalkboard is a great visual reminder for how we want to spend the season. Do you have a spring fun list?
Beach Hats
We are headed to the beach next month and I am busy making sure everyone in the family has all the gear they need. This past week, I found two hats that I will be taking to the beach. I’ve never been a big hat person but I am trying to be better about keeping my face out of the sun (since I had skin cancer removed last year).
First, I got this new straw hat from Amazon and I love it. It is the perfect size and coverage. Plus, it was a great deal!
Then, I’ve been eyeing these city initial baseball hats from Aviate for a long time and I finally bought one for myself. These hats come in several colors and are available for a TON of major cities. I picked up my hat from a local boutique but I was happy to find them online as well.
I don’t know what I’ve been waiting for, hats are the perfect way to hid messy hair! Now, I am on team baseball hat ! I definitely will be using my new hats a lot this summer!
Spring Target Finds
I stopped into Target last weekend and I had a hard time getting past the Dollar bins section. So many cute items for spring! All the garden accessories are so adorable. A group of these items would be so cute for an Easter basket. Or a cute basket for Mother’s Day!
I am gravitating towards all things yellow this season! It is such a cheerful and happy color! This yellow watering can will be perfect for our front porch. I need to stop buying yellow or my front porch will ALL yellow. Next Friday, I will be participating in a Front Porch Blog Hop with some fellow bloggers. So, I’ll be sharing our spot with you really soon!
My 12-year old always wants one of these flower kits every time we stop at Target. Each season, there are different plants and flowers available. I like this particular kit –the galvanized pots are so pretty! These could be another cute gift for Mother’s Day or Teacher Appreciation Week!
I stopped in my tracks when I saw these blue glass vases! They are gorgeous in person and are an impressive knock off to more expensive glass jars!! These blue vases would look adorable in a grouping…especially with some pretty pink flowers in them!
Adventure Book
Over on Instagram stories, I am sharing a review of a new book we received from Quarto Books called “The Lost Book of Adventures”. It is a beautifully illustrated book! If you have a nature fan in your family, I recommend checking this book out. It tells the story of how to survive in the wild including instructions on how to build a treehouse, how to pack a backpack for a hike, explanation on the different types of canoes..and more!
We’ve had a lot of fun reading this book and it has given us a serious case of wanderlust. I would never be brave enough to spend days in the wilderness, so this book is a perfect way to get my nature fix:)
As Seen on the Blog
On Monday, I shared a recent project we completed in our dining room. Our fireplace mantle got a refresh and I shared all the details HERE!
I teamed up with Frame it Easy for an awesome frame giveaway! Head over to enter to win a $100 frame credit. Plus, I’ve got a promo code for you to use on your next frame order!!
Also, this week, I shared my tips on cleaning hardwood floors! Our entire first floor is hardwood, so it is a constant battle to keep the floors clean. After a long winter, in which we tracked in snow and salt, my floors all needed a good cleaning.
I’ve got a new favorite mop to get the floors sparking! All the details, plus a COUPON for your next mop purchase over HERE!

That about wraps up the week!! Happy Friday and I hope you have a great weekend! I am linking up with Erika, Narci and Andrea for this Friday Favorites post, so be sure to head over to their blogs as well!
Fantastic cleaning tips as always lady. Hope you have the Best weekend!
Cute finds! Target is the bomb. I actually scored two different beach hats there over the last few years- one straw and gold and one black and white striped straw 🙂 Have a great weekend Jaclyn!
I wore that straw hat in Puerto Rico on vacation, and absolutely loved it! Love the city baseball cap too! Great finds in the Target dollar spot. Our Target is currently being renovated, so it is just a mess. Hope you have a wonderful weekend!
Oooh I love that mini rose growing kit!!! I’m going to have to pick one up!
Now I want to make a Target run!!
I don’t think hats look good on me. The baseball hat is so cute though! I love those blue bottles from Target!
Maybe it’s a curly hair issue–I think hats can make my hair frizzy. But I am appreciating them a lot more now.
