Happy Friday! We have had a snowy few days here in Ohio! The kids were really hoping for a snow day (as we have not had a single one this year), but no luck this time! At least it means they have their class Valentine’s Day parties today. My fifth grader is having his last class party as they do not have them in middle school. Bittersweet to see another one of the kids move on from the elementary school years! Anyway, as usual, I am sharing some Favorites of the week in home, style and family. Have a great Valentine’s Day!

One| Valentine’s Day Brinner
Earlier this week, we celebrated Valentine’s Day with the kids by having a Valentine’s Brinner. Breakfast foods are hands down my kids’ favorite meals. We had our usual Valentine’s Day cinnamon rolls and heart shaped bacon.
I decorated the table with a few Dollar Store balloons and paper plates. One of my kids declared my set up “fancy”, so I know they appreciated the little details.
Tonight, we will keep it easy with a heart shaped pizza from Aldi before we have to rush everyone out the door to their activities. (Talk about “fancy” :))
Two| Birthday Trip to NYC
Last weekend we celebrated my daughter’s 13th birthday and her big birthday surprise was finding out she was going to NYC in March. It’ll be a trip just the two of us and we can not wait. It has been months in the making and a lot of saving money here and there, but it will be well worth it.
This pop up New York City card was the perfect way to share the surprise. She has the card on display it her room–too cute! It was more expensive then I usually spend on a card but it made a big impact.
Three| Lego Love
This week, as part of the Clear the Clutter Challenge, we talked about Kid’s Organization. Specifically, I shared some ideas on organizing your Lego collection. Legos have been a part of our house for many years, but it wasn’t until now that we really had a good organization system in place. Head over here to read about our new Lego Organization System.
Also, if your kids love Legos, be sure to check out the new Lego Masters Show! It is a competition show where teams build Lego creations and are trying to win a big prize. It is a great family friendly show to watch if you have kids that love Legos. It is honestly inspiring to see adults who love Legos and can build these amazing things.
Four| Winter Style with Stitch Fix
Last but not least, this week I shared my latest Winter Stitch Fix Box. While I am dreaming about warmer weather and spring clothing, the reality is that we still have almost 2 months of winter. So, we continue to wear cold weather clothing. I got some great pieces to show you. Find out what I decided to keep and return. (I am regretting returning one of the items after all the comments I got from readers that they liked the item!). Next time I should ask you before I decide what to return!
That about wraps up this week’s Friday Favorites! Check back on Monday for our latest Clear the Clutter Challenge! I am linking up with Erika, Narci and Andrea for this Friday Favorites post, so be sure to head over to their blogs as well!
