Happy Friday! I hope you are having a great week. We are doing a lot better and I am looking forward to the weekend. We have fallen behind on our spring cleaning with being sick. So, this weekend, I think we are going to tackled some of those chores.
Anyway, as usual, I am sharing a few favorites in home, style and family.

Remnants Bag Company
My favorite find of the week is my new purse from Remnants Bag Company. I have been eyeing these custom, one-of-a-kind leather bags for several years now. This mom owned company is always at one of my favorite events in the summer, The Summer Market. These bags are handmade by the owner Virginia. You can read about her story on how she got started here.
I’ve been eyeing these bags for so long now that anytime I think about getting a new purse, I hold off because I want a Remnants Bag instead. But, since these bags are an investment, it has taken me a while to actually buy one.
A few weeks ago, I reached out to the owner about buying a custom bag. (I think I will consider this an early Mother’s Day gift for me!) It was so fun to pick out each fabric and talk through the design process. While the outside of the bag is leather, you get to pick out the inner fabric.
I selected the Villager bag because it is a great size for day-to-day use. There is a larger bag, called the Traveler, that is big enough to hold a lap top. I wanted a purse that was functional for daily use, so I didn’t need one that was too big.
I love the Villager bag because it can a shoulder tote or a cross body bag. There are so many fun cross body straps to choose from. The nice thing is that you can take off the cross body strap if you do not want to use it.
I can not say enough good things about these bags, Remnants Bag Company and the owner Virginia. It was nice to support a small business while also finally buying something I have wanted for a long time. It is a bag I know that I will have for years to come and it will continue to look better with age. You can see more of her styles on Instagram.
Did you catch my post earlier this week on my Wantable Style Edit? I shared what I got in my Wantable subscription box.
I am so happy to try on spring clothing and to refresh my closet with a few new things.
Speaking of spring clothing, I saw another blogger recommend these Amazon shorts. So, I decided to order them because the price was good. I am pleasantly surprised that I really like these shorts!
They have a nice drawstring tied waist and are a nice length -not too short! The shorts come in 19 colors, so I just might order another pair!
This year, I have a goal of reading 24 books. I am sharing the books I am reading over on Instagram. This week, I finished my 8th book of the year. So far, I have two favorite books of this year. The book, I just read, “Girl A” was so good! It was my Book of the Month selection for February.
It is not a light read and deals with serious childhood trauma. I will definitely be thinking about this book for a while. My other favorite book I’ve read this year is The Girl They Left Behind. It is a WWII story set in Romania. Just when I think I have read every WWII drama, there is a new perspective and story to learn. This book is really a good one!
What books are you reading right now? I have a few books on order at the library but currently, I do not have a good one on my nightstand.
Friday Wrap Up
Anyway, I hope that you have a great weekend. We had nice weather all week and now it is back to being cold again. Just in time for the weekend. Hope to see you back here next week!
