Happy Weekend! Another Friday has rolled around and I am sharing some Favorites in home, style and family! While I have shared some more serious posts this past week, I look forward to keeping this light and fun on Fridays. So if you need a little distraction from the current events, grab a cup of coffee and join me in some fun.

One// Family Game for the Backyard
A few nights ago, we got a chance to try out a new outdoor game, Glow Battle, we received from Starlux Games. We already have another Starlux Game, Capture the Flag, so we were pretty sure we would love this one. Oh my goodness, we had so much fun and I don’t think we have all laughed as much in a while!
You divide into two teams and the object is to tag players on the other team with your Glow Stick. If you are tagged, you go back to your base to recharge. There are 10 different ways to play the game or you can make up your own version. We made up our own rules. I was a little worried that the game could get rough rather quickly. But the Glow Foam Sticks are very lightweight. Plus, you are not supposed to hit the opposing teams’ heads and arms.
Somehow it ended up being parents against kids–lucky us! The kids beat us every time.
Everyone followed the rules and we had a blast! This would be a great game with a lot of people but we certainly still had fun with five players. I would definitely recommend this game for some family fun. Maybe you could even get it in time for Easter for a group gift!
Glow Battle was gifted to us in exchange for an honest review.
Athleta Pants Dupe
I am so excited about a new pair of joggers I ordered from Amazon the other day. These pants are so similar to my favorite Athleta joggers at a fraction of the cost! There are a ton of colors to choose from and I picked a color called Moonphase. It is a soft pinkish-lavender color.
These pants are a 7/8 style and you can also cinch them up on the sides. So lightweight and great for spring but also summertime. These pants are an Athleta Dupe of the Brooklyn Joggers. Don’t get me wrong, I do love the Brooklyn pants, but I do not love the cost. These jogger alternatives are so good!
I think I need to order a few more colors! Normally, I am not an Amazon clothing shopper but these are a great find.
Three// Planting Hope
A few weeks ago, we planted an indoor herb garden.
This week the seeds really started to sprout! It has been so fun watching the sprouts pop this week.
Seriously, it has been a bright spot in our kitchen and everyone is noticing the growth. I’d definitely recommend this little project as a fun spring activity.
You can get kits online and this one would look nice on a kitchen counter.
Four// Blue Light Glasses for Kids
The kids have been on their computers non-stop with all of their school assignments. I have had blue-light blocking glasses for a while now and I just purchased glasses for the kids. We got a 2 pack of blue light blocking glasses for the older kids and a child size pair for my youngest. He hasn’t received his pair yet.
Blue Light blocking glasses are supposed to help with eye strain and alleviate headaches due to screen usage. These glasses can also help with that feeling of being wired after staying at a computer screen too long.
While there are still mixed opinions on whether these glasses are completely necessary, I have found them to be beneficial. Since these were very inexpensive, it was worth the investment to get them for the kids.
Five // Hope + Joy Community
Fun news! My friend Keri and I are excited to announce we have launched a Hope + Joy Community. It is a place for moms to support and encourage each other during this season. Our community will be a place for good news and positive thinking!
We are entering into a month where we know we will all be home. This time is full of so many unknowns and stresses and we want to provide moms a place to come to be encouraged and equipped to thrive, even in the chaos.
We know this won’t take away the unknown but we do think it can help us to unite together during this time.
Right now, we have a choice:
We can use the next 30 days to be consumed with fear and worry and be paralyzed by it.
OR
We can use the next 30 days to connect with our families as life has slowed down.
Will you join me in the 2nd option?

Yes Jaclyn! Yes- we need to have hope- pray and enjoy this downtime which should be quality time- I keep reminding myself of this every day because the years truly fly by- thank you!
That game sounds like so much fun! Adding it to my Christmas gift list for sure.
Looks like a fun game! Love the pants too.
Just love those pants and I love how you guys are making the most of this quarantine! Have a very sweet weekend lovely!
What size did you order in joggers? They look perfect on you!
I got a medium –they run “slightly” smaller than Athleta (in my opinion) so if you are in between then I’d order up or otherwise stick to normal sizing. I am 5′ 9 so I was worried about length too.
