Happy Friday Friends! I can not believe tomorrow is May. The weather is looking good for the weekend, so we can be back to do more outdoor house projects. If you saw on Instagram, last weekend, we cleaned the patio and patio furniture. Of course it has rained the last two days, so some of our work was undone. But, we sealed the patio for the first time in several years and it really made our patio stone look brand new again. Anyway, I am sharing a few Friday Favorites in home, style and family.

High Waisted Athleta Brooklyn Shorts

Last week, I mentioned that I was shopping with my mom on Friday. I talked about getting the Brooklyn textured pants. But, we stopped into Athleta and I tried on these high waist shorts in my favorite pant style, Brooklyn. So, I decided to get these Brooklyn shorts instead.

The shorts are awesome. I know I will wear this pair all summer and I can dress the shorts up or down. I don’t mind spending a little more on Athleta clothing because I know I will wear the clothing all the time. These are my favorite basics.

These Brooklyn shorts are the perfect length too–not too short or too long. I like that I can wear them with a graphic tee and gym shoes during the day and then a tank with cute sandals at night.

Target Summer Decor

Another fun purchase of the week was a new table runner for our dining room table.  I wanted more color for our dining room table and this new blue table runner from Target was perfect.

The navy blue color of the table runner ties in nicely with our bowl of shells and the rest of the dining room decor.

This was one of those trips to Target that I was going in for something else and I came out with something I did not plan on. But, I am really happy with this little change to our dining room.

LED Gas Light for Porch

Every since we went to Rosemary Beach two years ago, I have been interested in getting a gas look light for our front porch. All the homes in Rosemary Beach have a gas light and the place truly looks magical at night.

I tried a few different lights. We found one that looks the most realistic with the light fixture we already had. I was not going to buy a new gas lantern. So I was able to get the gas light look with a gas light looking light bulb! The first light bulb I ordered was for lantern sockets that face upward. Our light bulb socket faces downward. These lightbulbs adjust for either up or down, which is so cool!

We do not leave it on all the time. But, I love coming home at night to see the light on.

Summer Bucket List for Teens

Summer will be here before we know it! My kids still have about six weeks left of school and they are most certainly counting down. My teen daughter recently came up with a Teen Summer Bucket list. I thought it was so fun for her to come up with her own list of ideas. I shared her Teenage Summer Bucket List in Monday’s post.

Friday Wrap Up

This weekend, we will be wrapping up my son’s twelve birthday celebrations. Hopefully, in between sports activities, we can continue to work on our outdoor projects. Now that the rain is over, we will set up our backyard patio. I hope you have a great weekend!

In New Orleans they have gas lights too, they are pretty cool! I like the shorts, but they are pretty pricey!
