Happy Friday Friends! My kids are off from school today, so we have a nice long weekend. If you follow me on Instagram, you know that my husband and I took a trip to Key West earlier in the week. It has been a long time since we have taken a trip just the two of us, so it was nice to get away. These last three weekends, I have been traveling, so I am looking forward to relaxing tonight! Anyway, as usual, I am sharing some Friday Favorites in home, style and family.

Fall Front Porch Decor for Halloween

As I mentioned in last week’s, Friday Favorite post, I was finishing up the fall decor for our front porch. This year’s porch is not as colorful as last year, but I still incorporated Halloween decor.

While the kids are young, they still like the Halloween decorations. So, I made it cozy and festive.  If you look close enough, you can see our black cat in the window matching the Halloween theme!

Family Advent Calendar Idea

When I came home from our trip, I had a lot of fun mail to open. One of my favorite packages was this Family Advent Activity Kit.

This kit is a really meaningful tradition you can start with your family. Each night in December, you hid one of the wooden tokens in the drawstring bag. You hide the wise men along with the token. It is suggested that you could include a chocolate gold coin in the bag each night.

Once the kids find the token, you then ready the daily story in the Wise Men Storybook.

This is a really special Christmas tradition and I love how easy it is to implement.

If you would like to order this Advent, you can use my affiliate code COFFEEPANCAKESDREAMS for 15% off your order! It is never too early to start thinking about the holidays.

Holiday Baking Kits

Speaking of the holidays, I have a really fun and delicious giveaway on Instagram! I have once again partnered with Tastefully Simple for a huge box of holiday goodies! This prize includes 7 Cookie and Bread Baking Kits, a delicious spread and Silicone Baking Sheets.

I love easy baking ideas for when I am in a pinch. It is nice to have these sets when you need to make something for a party or to give as a hostess gift! Sometimes my kids like to whip up treats and I do not have all the ingredients (or enough time!). So, these baking kits can come in handy when the kids want to take charge in the kitchen!

Be sure to enter the giveaway over on Instagram.

Best Book of the Month

While on my trip, I read my favorite book I’ve ever gotten from the Book of the Month. Over the last year, I have enjoyed reading suspenseful thrillers. Rock, Paper, Scissors was one of the best thrillers I have read. It is not too scary but just enough suspense to keep you on the edge of your seat.

It was not a predictable book at all and I had to go back and reread some parts because I was completely shocked by the ending. I definitely would recommend this book!

Friday Wrap Up

Can you believe how quickly October is moving along?! We have some friends coming to visit this weekend from out of town. I’m hoping we can spend time outside enjoying the beautiful fall weather.

I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

A lovely round up to read. As for the Halloween decorations, they are beautiful and who’s says you only have to be a child to have them, I’ll still be putting mine up even when the kids have moved out hahaha #FridayFavourites

It is crazy how fast the fall is going! Somewhere the winter does not seem to go by as quickly!

I read Alice Feeney’s past two books but not that one! I’m glad you loved it. I’d love to go back to Key West!
