Happy Friday Friends! It has been a busy week here. We are headed out of town on Sunday and I always feel like the week leading up to a trip is a little hectic. But, I will be glad to have all the work out of the way so that we can enjoy our vacation week! Anyway, I am hopping on today to share some favorites in home, style and family!
One// Social Distance Farm Experience
Hands down, the highlight of our week was visiting a local Alpaca Farm!, Majestic Meadows! My friend recommended this experience to us and we had so much fun!
Maybe you will be lucky enough to find a local Alpaca Farm near you! I certainly did not realize we had one so close.
Each of my kids picked out their favorite (or two) Alpacas and we were so surprised that these animals are so sweet.
The farm also had miniature cows, horses, pigs and some goats!
The admission to Majestic Farms was only $5 per person ($3.50 for each bag of food) and we had to make a reservation to limit the number of visitors. We felt very comfortable and spaced out from other guests.
Local friends, I certainly recommend you check out this farm!
Two // Inexpensive Wall Brackets
One home project that is still not completed is our home office makeover. We are “thisclose” to being done with it but we hit a snag when we went to install the wall shelves.
I ordered these pretty wall brackets and weeks later, when I went to open the boxes, we realized the actual wood shelf would not fit inside the brackets. Total bummer!
Surprisingly, we had a hard time finding brackets at the local home stores. Then, I remembered a inexpensive hack I did for our kitchen shelf brackets.
I purchased inexpensive shelf brackets from our local Ace Hardware. Then, we used this Metallic Spray Paint to get the look we wanted.
We LOVE how the spray paint turned out. It is such a sleek finish.
After the brackets were hung, my husband had painted the screws to match the shelf brackets. I will share a full room update very soon!
Three // Our Homeschool Space
Last weekend we found out our kids will be starting school remotely this Fall. While it is easy to focus on the negatives of the situation, I am trying to stay positive and light about it. What choice do we have?
So, last Sunday, I spent the day cleaning up my office and designating a part of the room to a homesschool set up. While my kids have the option to study in their rooms, I know I wanted a space that we could work together. Plus, I will be very involved with my 2nd grader’s schooling, so I wanted him close by to where I work.
You can read about our new homeschool space here. Plus, check out all of my favorite new Michael’s finds.
Four // Fall Outfit Inspiration
The last few days we have had cooler temps. So, when I received my subscription box from Trendsend filled with fall clothes, I was feeling the fall vibes. I know summer will be around a while longer, but I have to say that I am a little bit excited for fall.
My Trendsend order including nine items that I could wear to transition from summer to fall. This new tie-dye sweatshirt is a big favorite.
I already wore this top on a cool evening. You can head to this post to read about my Trendsend box and what I kept and what I returned.
Well, that wraps another Friday Favorites! I need to finish up packing for our trip. You can follow along on some of our vacation over on Instagram.
I am linking up with Erika, Narci and Andrea for this Friday Favorites post, so be sure to head over to their blogs as well! Hope you have a great weekend!

We visited an alpaca farm with our homeschooling group a couple years ago and they even taught us how they turn the wool into yarn. The kids all worked cooperatively on a weaving and I bought a gorgeous poncho. We loved learning about all the animals they had but especially about why alpacas are getting to be such a big/ popular business.
Wow that is such a cool visit you go to have! Alpacas are the sweetest animals!
An alpaca farm?! That’s amazing! How adorable.
I didn’t even know these farms existed until this week!
I’m googling alpaca farms near me now. Lol thanks!!!!
I hope you find one!
I love alpacas! We do have a farm nearby. I wonder if we can visit!
OH you need to check it out!
Love the impromptu home school area – so cute!!
Thank you:) Good luck to L this fall!!
That alpaca farm looks like such fun, and that’s great you felt like the measures in place kept everyone safe! Love it!! We had really Fall weather last week too, but it’s back to hot hot hot now. At least I can get some more pool time in…though I’m not complaining about Fall approaching. It IS my favorite. Love the home school space you set up. It looks really good. Hope you had a nice trip!!
