Happy Weekend friends! This week went by so quickly and now here we are at the end of summer break. I really do not want it to end, but there is always something exciting about the first day of school. This week we finished up a few things on our summer bucket list and we might do one or two more things before school starts on Tuesday. As usual, I am sharing some favorites in home, style and family.

Wall Organization Giveaway
This week, on Instagram, I have been sharing Back-to-School tips for families. I am so excited to get the chance to giveaway one of these Family Command Centers from 1Thrive! The winner gets to pick any of the 1Thrive Command Centers.
I try to start the school year off very organized and a wall calendar really helps to keep me on track. I keep permission slips, important school papers and notes in the hanging folders. Then, I use the wall calendar to keep track of everyone’s schedules. I do also use my phone for important appointments, but I am still someone that likes a big visual calendar. Head over to Instagram to enter the contest (ends on Sunday!)
Early Fall Style
I am really not ready for fall. While I don’t mind fall, it is the season that comes after that I do not enjoy. But, whether I like it or not, Fall is coming. While I was back-to-school clothing shopping for the kids, I found a few things I liked for me.
First, we ended up getting a lot of clothing for my twelve year old at Kohls. I found a few things in store for him, but there was a lot bigger selection online.
I also found this sleeveless leopard dress for me. It is a great deal and I can see layering it with a jean jacket or cardigan. I am still waiting for the dress to arrive, so I hope it works out! There are 8 different colors and patterns to choose from in this dress. This terra cotta zebra print would be pretty for fall too.
Also, there are so many deals at Gap and Old Navy. I love these basic cotton tees, so I ordered two tops in fall colors.
I know buttoned cardigans are really trending this year. So, I ordered this oversized black cardigan from the Gap.
I have several cardigans but not any that have buttons. Last weekend, Gap had a 50% off sale.
It is so comfortable and not scratchy. I am really particular about my sweaters!
Lastly, I wanted a new pair of comfortable gym shoes. My daughter and I are headed to NYC next month (a second attempt at our planned trip from March 2019).
So, I wanted a comfortable and cute pair of walking shoes. These Nike shoes with a cheetah print are adorable and so comfy!
Athleta Girl Ice Cream Social
This weekend, I am hosting a fun event from tween girls at Athleta. We will be making these ice cream cone key chains.
Local friends, there is still time to sign up before Sunday! Hope to see you there!
Friday Wrap Up
My daughter had her first (half) day of school today. I can’t wait to hear how things went. This weekend we will have our annual Back-to-School dinner. We are feeling all the emotions about the new school year including excited, nervous, sad and happy! I hope you have a great weekend!
Yeah! Best of luck getting back into the school routine- love that leopard dress and those cheetah walking shoes are everything! Have fun at your event Jaclyn!
I really like the dress but I think it would be shorter than I prefer. Too bad because it’s cheap!
My nieces and nephew are starting school next week. I think they’re excited. I work at a community college and students came back this week, which was definitely strange, but kind of nice. hah It’ll be a weird year, I’m sure.
Fall is my favorite season, but I’m not trying to rush things! There are definitely some summer things I still want to do.
