Happy Friday! I am happy to be linking up with Erika, Narci and Andrea for Friday Favorites. Hope you had a great week! ! I’ll be keeping this post pretty short –the kids are off of school today and I can’t wait to hang with them!
Mother Daughter Shopping Trip
My absolute favorite from the week was my shopping trip with my mom. In case you missed my post on Monday, I did a little wrap up of our trip. We came, we saw, we shopped..and we shopped some more! It was a great trip with a lot of great buys and more importantly a lot of fun time spent together. I talked about my favorite home buys on Monday. But I also picked up a few great clothing items.
I was on the hunt for cozy lounge pants and these pants from Nordstrom Rack were the perfect find! They are so soft and comfortable yet, they are cute enough to wear out of the house for those early morning car pool lines or a trips to the grocery. I know these will get a ton of mileage this fall and winter.
Also, I found a colorful pair of workout pants from The Loft’s Lou & Grey collection. I had no idea Loft carried any athletic wear but when I tried these on I was pleasantly surprised. It is a high rise fit and very comfortable. Hopefully they hold up well.
Halloween Themed Dinner
I mentioned on Instagram that we are having a Halloween themed dinner and movie night this weekend. Holiday themed movie nights are a favorite! I asked the kids to help me plan the menu, so as you can imagine it’ll be dessert heavy! I shared some of our ‘Boo Bash’ essentials on my new Favorites page!
Whenever I find cute seasonal food items, I buy them and save to use for a fun dinner or put in school lunches. I found this festive pasta at Marshalls/HomeGoods a few weeks ago and knew the kids would appreciate for dinner!
I’ll be sharing our Halloween dinner on Monday with all of the details..so stay tuned! It’s so fun and really pretty easy to make an ordinary dinner something different. I don’t get crazy with making elaborate recipes or create huge decorations. Just a few key pieces to make the dinner a little more festive.
Buffalo Check Wallet
If you’ve read my posts this week, I have a bit of a love for white buffalo check! I purchased the buffalo check ottomans, a holiday checked pillow and now I found a cute wallet to keep up with my theme. If you can’t find ways to add buffalo check in the house, just find a clothing item to get your fix!! I spotted this wallet at Charming Charlie’s. It’s a store I don’t make it into often enough but there is always cute, affordable, trending accessories for the season.
It’s a great size to hold all of my wallet essentials. Now I’ll stop talking about buffalo check…maybe!
New Coffee Shop
My last favorite of the week is the most adorable bakery/coffee shop I visited this past week with a dear friend. I took so much inspiration from this space. The wall of greenery, white lights, blue pendant lights and bistro chairs…I want it all! I love going to local shops with creative spaces. It doesn’t hurt that the baked goods were amazing!
The space was formerly a floral shop/greenhouse. So there is so much natural light!
How can I translate this beautiful greenery wall into my home?!
That wraps up some of my favorites of the week! We have a busy weekend with kids activities, our Halloween themed dinner and a trip to the pumpkin patch! Hope you all have a wonderful weekend as well!
