Friday Favorites: Good Friends, Tie Dye & Florida Fun
Happy Friday! I’ve been saying this every Friday but it’s been another fun filled week. My husband and I are currently in Florida enjoying a few days of sun and relaxation with our friends. I love traveling with my kids but I have to say that a few days away with my husband is pretty nice! Anyway, today as usual, I am linking up for for Friday Favorites with Erika, Narci and Andrea.
Friendship Memory Jar
As I mentioned last Friday, this past weekend I spent away with several girlfriends as part of my belated birthday celebration. It has been years since I have gone on a girls trip and it is so GOOD for the soul! I can’t tell you how many laughs we had and memories that we made on this trip. Just too good!
My friends surprised me with the SWEETEST birthday gift- a friendship memory jar! Everyone filled the jar with personal notes and memories from our friendship. The outside of the jar said ” Friendship isn’t a big thing, it’s a million little things…”
This group of girls was a mix of friends I have known for a few years through a lot of years…I love that everyone blended together for this weekend. We are already talking about making this weekend an annual trip and I sure hope we are able to pull it off next year! It is never easy to get a group of moms away from their busy schedules, so I am so grateful these girls were able to make it!
Tie Dye Project with Kids
Between last week’s girls trip and getting ready for our trip to Florida, things have been a little hectic at home. But I wanted to try out a little tie dyeing project with the kids. For the first time I bought a kit that included EVERYTHING (but the shirts) to make the project. It was so easy and a lot of fun.

Florida Fun
My post is going to be pretty short today as I am enjoying our trip in Florida. It has been great to relax and not to be on any sort of time schedule.
I was happy to find this palm leave top on sale at Evereve. Last week it was an additional 20% off but it is still a good deal:)
I’ve even gotten to do a little reading and I am just about finished with this book. It is another WWII fiction book about a woman living on the Normandy coast of France. I should have probably picked a lighter read for the beach but I get sucked into WWII books every time. This book I would definitely recommend!
I’ll need to find another good book to read on the plane ride home. Any suggestions?

I hope you have a wonderful weekend and see you back here next week! I need to soak up all the sun and sand that I can in the next few days!
love your top and LOVE that beach bag- hope you had the best time Jaclyn!
I do love a good WWII book. I hope you’re having a great time in Florida!! I could use a little getaway at the moment. LOL That friendship jar is SO cute. Love it!

I’m a sucker for WW2 books as well! I LOVE the friendship memory glass — how thoughtful and creative.
Enjoy your alone time with your hubs! It’s amazing how even just a few days away together can make such a difference. You’ve reminded me I need to plan a small getaway with my hubs soon, it’s been way too long!
Enjoy your Florida trip! I am all for being mermaids! haha. And I like the tie-dye you did with the kids. So fun!
These are such great ideas! Thanks for sharing.
Thank you Harley–hope you had a great weekend!
I would love to have a group of friends to travel with!
