Hi Friends! I took a few weeks off from Friday Favorites and I am so glad to be back! It is one of my favorite times of the week to share some fun things in home, style and family. The first week back to school and work is always tough, so we are hoping to take it easy this weekend. Hope you have a great weekend!
ONE| Valentine’s Day Decor
While some people might have just taken down Christmas decor, the stores are already thinking about Valentine’s Day. Admittedly, I am appreciating a clean and less cluttered home. However, seeing all of the cute Valentine’s decor out at the stores might just get me motivated to put out a few pink and red things soon.
The Target Dollar bins are filled with Valentine’s Decor. The seasonal decor is this section always goes fast, so you have to get it early.
This set of blue mugs (lighting is a little off but they are darker in person) are so cute!
For a dose of pink, I LOVE this set of coffee mugs.
These pink planters are adorable and would make a cute gift. Just add a cute succulent for a sweet Valentine’s Day gift for a friend or teacher.
The entire Valentine’s day baking collection is ADORABLE! Love the “Baking is Love Made Edible” message:)

TWO| Two New Cookbooks
Are you trying to eat a little healthier in the new year or at least get back on track after the holidays? I received two new cookbooks at Christmas and i am loving both of them.
The first is a book of full of delicious smoothies from Weelicious. I have followed her blog for years and she has so many kid friendly recipes. My daughter and I have been on a smoothie kick and we have made a bunch of smoothies from this book. It is currently almost half off, so I recommend getting it now if you are interested. There is a wide variety of smoothie recipes with different ingredients, so there is really something for everyone. Tip: Costco and Aldi have great prices on frozen fruits –for all of your smoothies!
The second book titled, Super Simple is also from a food blogger (Half Baked Harvest) I’ve followed a long time. I’ve only had the book for a few weeks and I’ve made 7 or 8 of the recipes. I like this book because the recipes are easy, but the meals are delicious and a little something different.
The recipes are simple enough to whip up on a busy weeknight but are also great for slower paced weekend meals.
Some of our new favorite recipes from the book include:
Garlic Butter Ramen (kid friendly!)
Broccoli Cheddar Soup (sooo good!)
Autumn Harvest Salad (Made with pomegranate seeds, kale and toasted pecans)
Everything Bagel Salad (If you like everything bagel spice, you’ve got to try this!)
White Wine- Braised Chicken (With artichoke hearts and green olives)
Dry Rubbed Steak (We made on New Year’s Eve)
While some of these recipes sound labor intensive, I can honestly say that they are not! This book just might become my number #1 go to Cookbook.
THREE| Family Goals
The start of the new year is a great time to reflect on the past year and then plan ahead for the new one. This year, we are trying to be more intentional with our family time. As the kids get older and are being pulled in more directions with their time, we have to be really intentional about carving out family time!
So, on Wednesday, I shared some ideas for setting Family Goals!
FOUR| Evereve Sale
Now that the holidays are over, it is time to settle in for winter. I am all about cozy and comfortable clothing right now. After Christmas, I stopped into Evereve for their winter sale and found a few deals! There are a ton of cute sweaters on sale right now. These are some of my favorites!
This Striped Sweater is such a great deal (less than $30) and it goes with everything!!
Also love this light and bright sweater which is less than $30 too!
This one is more expensive but I do think it is very cute! Looks so good with black pants.
So many good things to pick from. I also picked up a few tank top basics that on major markdown.

I need to get to Target because the Valentine’s decor at most other stores is so slim to none. I just told my husband I had not ben to target in 2 weeks, shocker, lol. I LOVE your striped sweater!! Have a great weekend! xo
I love the Valentine baking items at Target-definitely need to check those out! Those sweaters are adorable too- have a great weekend Jaclyn!
I love those mugs you found at Target! We got a kids cookbook for Hanukkah, it’s fun. The Everything Bagel Salad would be awesome!
I need to head to Target soon – always cute finds! I just did a post about wanting to try Smoothie Project, and just see if smoothies in general can help me out with eating better – I need more veggies in my diet, and if I can find ways of eating that keep me full, that would be awesome too. Glad to hear you like it!

Thanks Lauren! Grab the book on sale while it’s on sale now. I just made another smoothie from the book this morning that had cauliflower and dates…you would never know…it tasted like a vanilla milkshake!
