Happy Friday and Happy July! Today is the 4th of July already, wow! I always feel like July 4th is the halfway point on summer (break). But, my kids are just over 3 weeks into summer and we still have 7 weeks to go! So, we will continue to soak it up while we can! This week, my husband took the week off and we spent time at the lake! We are just about an hour from a lot of fun lake attractions, so we had a bit of Ohio staycation!  You might have even caught my Instastories that we went parasailing one day!  Anyway, as usual, I am sharing some Friday Favorites in home, style and family.

Home office Update

Last weekend, we found ourselves with a rainy day and it was the perfect opportunity to work on the home office update (I shared our plans here).

We were able to:

home office update

I think the new blinds are the best update of the room. Previously, we had white wood slate blinds. So these, new ones let in a lot more light to the room while also still offering privacy.

Still on our to-do list:

  • DIY new shelves
  • Install a new light fixture
  • Order an office chair

My goal was to have this room finished by Father’s Day, but we did not even start work on it until a week after. Either way, it is nice to make some progress!

4th of July Sales

Who has time for holiday sales when the weather is gorgeous and I would rather be outside?! But, I did check out the clearance sales at Evereve and there are some really good deals to consider.

I have been wanting this jumpsuit all season since I saw it in the catalog in the spring. Now it is almost half off! With a jacket, this jumpsuit would work all the way into fall.

There are so many items on sale right now, it is worth checking out!

Wall Basket Update

Another home decor project I made progress on this week was buying more baskets for a wall decor idea. You might remember I bought one basket a few weeks ago.

Wall Basket Decor Idea

I’ve been sitting on the idea for a few weeks and waiting to buy any more baskets until I found ones I really liked. These three baskets came home with me this week and I am deciding if they will all work out for the wall.

Wall Rattan Baskets

It is hard to know until you put the baskets on the wall if they will look good together. I love each of these baskets are their own, but I will see if they look good together.

I’ve always wanted to try parasailing! (despite my fear of heights I always thought it looked like a lot of fun). That black wall is really eye catching; what a pretty office space.

Thank you Joanne. Parasailing was def a little scary but worth the pretty views and the fun experience!

All of your renovations are looking great – and those blinds are very nice!! I love the idea of your basket wall. I can’t wait to see how it all looks together, but I think it will be lovely. They seem to work well together just from your photo.

Hope you had a lovely July4th weekend!!
