Happy Friday! It has been a great week because the kids have been off of school yesterday and now today. We are enjoying a relaxing few days! As usual, I am linking up with Erika, Narci and Andrea. for Friday Favorites! I’ll recap our week, share a few new fun finds and favorites!
Letter Art
I love displaying word and letter art around our house. I’ve got a letterboard, chalkboards, signs with words and letter pieces around our house. I think words add warmth and comfort to a home. Plus, I like having positive messages around for the kids…hopefully (maybe) they are taking in these words and quotes to heart.
I was so excited to discover House of Crazi, a mom owned business that makes beautiful alphabet letters for the home! What sets this company apart, is that these letters are eco-friendly, handmade and custom pieces!
These letters are made with non-toxic materials that are safe for your family and home. I worked with Nancy, the owner, to decide on the color, style and size of the letters. There are two sizes available and a TON of finish options. Depending if you are going for rustic or glam or farmhouse, there are so many options to choose from!
The Disney castle is another favorite wall art of ours. (from a local maker)
I wanted these letters to go on a wall near the kids rooms and I picked colors that matched the space. The opposite wall has a travel theme, so the “DREAM” seemed appropriate for the space!
These pieces look heavy but they are actually lighweight! I just used a few 3M hanging strips for each letter. The letters could also be displayed on a shelf! Special thanks to my husband for helping me line up these letters. It was a little tricky to reach this spot!
Be sure to head over to the House of Crazi for TONS of inspiration and ideas. I honestly was so overwhelmed when I first went to the page because I LOVED all of the options. If you sign up for the House of Crazi email list you get 10% off for your first order!
And special thanks to House of Crazi for providing these beautiful letters in exchange for my honest review.
Hot Cocoa Bar
My kids are putting up a protest about decorating for Christmas so early. These are the same kids that have their Christmas lists completed! But, I can’t say I’ve been super motivated (yet!) to get in the attic and drag down all of our Christmas decor. So, I may be sticking to my usual day after Thanksgiving routine.
I was motivated to do a little holiday update after I visited Kirklands this week. Their Christmas decor is just too cute and festive!!
I just ordered some new Christmas pillows from Pottery Barn (big sale) and two from Kirklands. I’ll share them when I get them!
The hot cocoa section is what really caught my eye! One of those cute hot cocoa signs came home with me.
That same day I updated our kitchen shelves with a hot chocolate theme. Except for the new sign, everything else I have on display is from our home.
Since the kids love hot chocolate, they approved of this kind of holiday decor:)
Amazon has a ton of cute coffee bar items (in case you don’t have a Kirklands nearby!).
This peppermint cocoa sign is adorable!
Don’t forget cute straws and stir sticks too:)
Timeless Gift
Have you started your holiday shopping? I’ve got a classic and stylish gift idea for a special person on your list. Have you heard of Jord Watches? They make beautifully crafted wood watches for both men and women.
There are so many designs to choose from and many options are unisex. I had the opportunity to select a watch and I picked the Zebrawood and Maple design. I like the watch is made with natural elements and the wood makes it a piece that can go with almost any outfit!
Most of the Jord watches have back plates that can be engraved. Plus, each watch is packaged in a beautiful humidor box (also engravable)! The band is sized to your measurements for a perfect fit!
I am collaborating with Jord Watches to giveaway a $100 credit towards any watch (making most watches VERY inexpensive!). Head HERE to enter!
Everyone that enters will receive 10% off your order!! Deadline to enter is 11/21/18!!
Thank you to Jord Watch for this sponsorship opportunity!
Aldi Wine Advent Calendar
What’s my final favorite of the week? I managed to snag one of the Aldi Wine Advent Calendars. I had a feeling that these calendars would sell out quickly but I had no idea HOW quickly! After the kids got on the school bus, I ran up to Aldi and arrived about 20 minutes before the store opened. The employee was handing out tickets to the first 15 customers and luckily I was one of them!
The 24 wine bottles are the equivalent of six bottle of wine–so that’s a lot of wine! I don’t imagine I will be trying one every single day. But it will be fun to try out the different wines over the course of the holiday!
Did anyone else score one of the Aldi advent calendars?

That hot cocoa bar looks so cute. We don’t have Kirklands here, but I went to 1 in NJ last year & loved it. I signed up for e mails, but I don’t want to have to pay shipping on bigger things. Wish we had 1 here.
