Happy Friend Friends! It feels good to have another week in January under our belts. This month is moving by rather quickly. The kids went back to school part time on Monday and now everyone is so tired from the busier week. There is something about having to get out of the house for school instead of being at home that is a lot more tiring.

Friday Favorites
Anyway, as usual I am sharing a few favorites in home, style and family.
New Family Room Couch
The big excitement over here this week was the arrival of our new family room couch. We sold our old sectional that we had for 10+ years and traded it in for another sectional. It is so nice to have an updated look. Plus, it is a lot more comfortable and roomy.
We went with a super budget friendly option because we don’t want to worry about an expensive piece that can get ruined by pets and kids.
Valentine’s Day Coffee Bar
Did you catch my Valentine’s Day Coffee Bar earlier this week? I know, we just finished up with Christmas, but Valentine’s Day is a fun holiday.
I am keeping things simple over here for Valentine’s and I think the coffee bar is the only spot in the house I will decorate. I will focus on some fun Valentine’s Day snacks and our usual Valentine’s Day breakfast.
Valentine’s Day is a bright spot in the dreary part of winter!
New Workout Gear
I love a good clothing subscription box and I decided to give the Wantable Active Edit a try. It is a workout and athleisure clothing subscription. I will share all the details on my first Wantable in a few weeks. But, I will say that it was a great order and I am excited to try another box in a few months.
It is nice to have some new workout gear for the new year. I kept this Kindness is Cool lightweight sweatshirt and I know I will wear it on repeat this year.
Speaking of Athleisure, I also got this soft terry wrap cardigan on sale.
I had a similar one that I wore to death, so I know this will be a favorite too. It is a great deal. A lot less expensive than a similar option you would find at Athleta or Lululemon.

Books I’m Reading
I just finished reading my second book of 2021. As I mentioned last week, my goal is 24 books this year. I just read Greenlights, an autobiography from Matthew McConaughey. It is hard not to have McConaughey’s signature voice in mind as you read the book.
Greenlights is uncensored, honest and at times pretty shocking. McConaughey had a very interesting upbringing and I appreciate that he was so candid in his story. I will read just about any autobiography and I thought this was a good book.
Next up, I have two books from my Book of the Month Club Subscription. I skipped my order in December, so I decided to order two books for January.
LOVE the couch- so cozy and love your pillows and accents! Have a great weekend Jaclyn 🙂
Thank you Holly! Have a great weekend!
Your couch looks so pretty! I want to read Greenlights so bad! My friend and fellow blogger and I have a book club and we are reading in March! I can’t wait!
That is great you have Greenlights coming in your bookclub!
Ohhh, so that’s why Simon has been in such a bad mood this week. He must be exhausted from having in person school all week. Maybe it’s a good idea for him to get used to that again though! Love the clothes you shared here!
We’ve been looking to replace our couch with a sectional…yours looks SO comfy, where did you get it?
Big Lots of all places!
