Hi Friends! My what a week it has been for all of us. If there is one thing that is comforting about our current world situation is that we are all in this together. Every single one of us is going through struggles, disappointments and new realities. While we are all dealing with different types of situations, it is times like these that we can really lean upon each other. Other things that are helping my family through this is looking ahead to fun times like spring, nice weather and even summertime. As always, I am continuing with some Friday Favorites in home, style and family! We can choose to focus on the negative and get caught up in every little news story. Or we can focus on the good, whatever little things might bring us JOY right now!

One// New Schedule

This week was certainly an adjustment with the kids home from school. Wow. My kids have assignments and a lot of work to do, which really helps them have a focus. One thing that is helping us is to maintain a routine. I am not trying to get too hung up on a formal schedule, but my kids really are thriving on knowing what is to come for the day. They are even asking me what’s for dinner when it is only breakfast. We can all use little things to look forward to, right?

Next week, I will share more about our routine and let you know what is working (after a full week of our plan). In the meantime, I want to share a Chore Printable that is really working for us. We have a lot of hours in the day to fill, so why not get the kids on board with household chores. I put together this daily chore schedule and it is working like magic. After lunch, we tackle the daily chore. These chores do not take more than 30 minutes. First, it helps to lighten the family work load and in the long run, the kids are learning some valuable skills!

Two// Spring Sales

A lot of retail stores are offering big sales right now. Are you in the mood to shop or are you not even thinking about that right now? Nordstrom is offering 25% off of almost their entire site! If you need some new Birkenstocks or cute sandals for summertime, now is a great time to buy ahead! I just ordered a new pair of Birkenstocks  a few weeks ago and paid full price. So many cute styles right now including this soft suede collection.

I ordered this summer dress. (under $30). It is a summer staple and I selected black so I could get the most wear out of it. Although the tie-dye print is so cute.(currently sold out)

Evereve also has 10% off their entire site. There are a lot of cute kimonos. I picked a neutral kimono that I can throw on with a lot of different outfits. Hopefully,  I will get a chance to wear these cute things soon!

Three// New Chairs

The timing could not be better on these new bean bag chairs we ordered last week. I have been wanting some of these chairs for the last year and I hemmed and hawed about purchasing them because they are not cheap. But, when I saw A Thoughtful Place has them in her playroom, I knew they would be a great fit for our basement media room.

These chairs are AMAZING! The cover unzips and there is a full size soft mattress in them! Perfect for sleepovers! We got two of these chairs but with three kids, we are realizing we might need to get one more. The beanbags are certainly big enough to hold two kids, but everyone is wanting a little space right now:)

Four // Easter Basket Ideas

It is hard to believe Spring officially starts tomorrow and Easter is three weeks away. There is uncertainly with what Easter will look like this year, but we are still planning to have a celebration–even if it is just our little family. Thank goodness for Amazon as I am able to get everything for kids’ Easter baskets online!

On Tuesday, I shared some Easter Basket Ideas for Tween Boys. My 10 year old helped me with this gift round up, so I can confidently say these are great gifts for Tween Boys!

Thanks for keeping things going on your blog! I appreciate some normal! I might adopt your cleaning schedule. I know I’m going to need the kids to help out while they’re home.

Thanks for the gift ideas. It just hit me yesterday that we have 2 birthdays and Easter in the next 30 days that I need to get working on. I appreciate you keeping with your schedule – reading blogs is such a wonderful diversion from what’s going on. We love HiLo books at our house!! Have a great day!

I find comfort in the thought that we are all in this together too.
