Happy October friends! I hope you had a great week. My daughter and I got back from New York on Monday night. It was a great trip and I am so grateful my daughter and I had the chance to go. The week has flown by since we have been back. I have loads to catch up on including laundry and groceries! Anyway, as usual, I am sharing some Friday favorites in home, style and family.

New York City

I have so much to say about our New York City trip! It was truly a trip we will never forget. I already wrote up a trip recap and I will be sharing it with you on Monday!

If you are thinking about taking a trip to New York City some day, this is a post you will want to read. Or at least, I wish I had read before I went on our trip.

Wantable

Earlier this week, I shared my latest Wantable Style Edit. It was full of a lot of great fall styles and I had a tough time picking my favorites.

You can read my full review in this post and also get a coupon for your first order!

Speaking of current style favorites, these running shoes were lifesavers with all of the walking we did in New York City! I brought two pairs of gym shoes and I wore the other pair the first day. The second day, I wore these shoes and my feet were so much more comfortable!!

There is a good amount of cushion and the leopard print is so cute too. I got several complements on them in NYC.

Fall Porch Update

I am finishing up my front door decor for fall this week. I looked back last year and I had already had a Halloween themed front porch by mid September! This fall has been a lot busier!

Last year, we had a not so spooky Halloween theme front porch.

My kids loved it and it was the first time I went with Halloween.

In the past, I have also gone more the traditional fall decor look for our front porch.

Fall front Porch Decor Ideas

This year, I sort of combined Halloween with fall decor for a new look.  Here is just a little preview. I love the mini pumpkin look. You can do so much with these pumpkins. I bought them from Trader Joe’s which always has a good pumpkin selection.

I am always trying to use what I have. So, for this updated porch, I only needed to get pumpkins and flowers. Once my porch is finished, I will share here with you!

Halloween Countdown Calendar

Lastly, today we start the 30 Days of Halloween Calendar! You can download this Halloween Advent here and get started today! While there are activites for each day, you do not need to do them in order. This is meant to give a lot of fun Halloween activities but you do not need to feel the pressure to do them all!

Friday Wrap Up

The weather is perfect here. So we are hoping to squeeze in a trip to the Apple Orchard. Then on Sunday, my husband and I are headed on a short getaway trip. It has been a busy few weeks!

I hope you have a great weekend!

Oh I CANNOT WAIT for your Monday post on NYC- Diana and I are going with our friends in early November- our original reason to go was to see Megan Hilty perform at Feinstein’s/54 Below but we are building in some other stops like the 9/11 Museum and Memorial and Dinner at Oceana at Rockefeller BUT looking for some more suggestions in between the big things!
