Hi Everyone! Happy March! As per the usual Friday routine, I am linking up with Erika, Narci and Andrea for Friday Favorites. I’ll share a peek into our last few days and some of my favorites of the week.
1.) Fun Mail
In case you missed my post on Monday, I shared my latest Trendsend box! I don’t always luck out as well as I did with my order this month! So many fun finds and most of them on sale!
My daughter also received a fun delivery with her Owl Crate, Jr box! She absolutely LOVES this subscription box. We got her a subscription at Christmas and she said it was her favorite gift. The theme of the box was Sugar and Spice. All the items including the book were centered on the theme of cooking!
We love that the Owl Crate Jr. box is a mix of book plus little goodies. The books are always one you don’t see at the bookstore. You can use my affiliate link at Owl Crate Jr. and use coupon code SUMMERILL for 10% off your order! (It’s a little confusing on the website because it says that this month’s boxes are sold out, but if you actually click on subscribe, you can place an order. Just an FYI!)
2.) Saving Time with Dinner Planning
Well, we didn’t exactly stick to the menu plan I posted last week. My husband ended up being out of town for a few days, which means we have quick and easy dinners. We did make the Whole 30 and Paleo Pizza Potato Skins and these will definitely be made again!
This weekend I have big plans to do some snack prepping (which I will share with you on Monday). I want to spend a few hours prepping healthy snacks and quick breakfasts. I’m hoping that by taking the time to prep, it will be quicker and easier to pack school lunches and allow for easy after school snacks!
Our dinner menu for the week:
Friday: Pizza and Salad
Saturday: Out
Sunday: Salmon and Pasta
Monday: Cobb Salad
Tuesday: Taco Bowls
Wednesday: One Pan Honey Garlic Chicken and Vegetables
Thursday: Leftovers
3.) Getting Ready for Spring
A few warm days this week sure got us excited about spring time! My kids reminded me that March 1st means it’s time to eat Lucky Charms and plan a leprechaun trap! The last few years I’ve left the trap building to the kids and my husband and I plan out a little scavenger hunt for them. At the end of the hunt, they each receive several gold coins. While they are always disappointed that they don’t catch the leprechaun, they don’t mind getting some money!
Do you do anything festive for St. Patrick’s Day?
4.) Car Dreaming
Last Friday, I had a great time at the Cleveland Auto Show as part of a media event. It was the first event I’ve gotten to go to as a blogger and I enjoyed meeting local bloggers.
I also got to scout out all the cars so we can start dreaming about our next car. My husband has had his car for 11 years! I think it’s time to consider a new one. There is still time to attend the Cleveland Auto show as it runs until Sunday, March 4th!

That about wraps up my favorites from the week! I hope you have a great weekend!
