Happy Friday Friends! I hope you are having week. My kids had yesterday and today off from school. So it is a nice long weekend for us. I am hoping to finalize our Thanksgiving menu this weekend. It will just be our family of five. So, I am just sticking to everyone’s favorites and trying to keep it simple. Anyway, as usual, I am sharing some favorites in home, style and family.

Christmas Front Porch Decor

Our Christmas decorations are up inside our home, but I am still working on our front porch and our outdoor display. This was the original plan for the front porch.

Christmas Front Porch Decor

Earlier this week, I stopped into Kirklands with my mom and my store did not have the full selection of holiday doormats that I had seen online. So I ended up going home and ordering the door mat I wanted. It is no longer available online but it is very similar to this one (but says Peace and Joy).

I also got this simple but very pretty front door wreath.

Currently, Kirklands has a sale through the weekend, so now is the time to shop! (25% off the entire store!)

Hopefully, everything will arrive next week and I can get our front porch all set up for the holidays!

Holiday Card Idea

I am being honest that I am not feeling very motivated to order Holiday Cards. But, the other day, I decided to frame some of our old Christmas cards by using frames I already had and just swapping out the pictures. I might grab a few more frames from the Dollar Store and make a big display of our old Christmas cards.

It brought a lot of joy and nostalgia.  I loved looking back at our old Christmas cards and seeing the kids when they were so little. So now, I am feeling a little bit more of that push to work on our cards for this year.

Blending Old and New Christmas Decor

Earlier this week, I shared a post on how to tie in old and new Christmas decorations. It is easy to get caught up in the latest Christmas styles and trends. But at the same time, it is good to embrace the old and sentimental decorations we have collected over the years.

Friday Wrap Up

That is about it for this week’s Friday Favorites! I need to figure out what the kids and I will do today! It is nice for the kids to have a break. But, we have had a lot of time at home and we are limited on things to do these days. So, I hope we can think of something fun.  Maybe my daughter and I will sneak in a Hallmark movie and bake some cookies! Hope you have a great weekend!
