Happy Friday Friends! Another week has come and gone. Today the kids are off from school, so it’ll be a nice change of pace. I can’t believe how quickly October is moving along. Two of my kids still need to decide on their Halloween costumes. Have you kids chosen their costumes yet? Anyway, as usual, I am sharing some favorites in home, style and family.

One // Quilted Fall Coat

Every since I spotted this Z Supply coat in the Evereve catalog, I have wanted it. The last time I was in Evereve, I tried on the coat and it was too boxy on me. I still loved the style but just not the fit.

So, I was so excited when I spotted almost the exact same coat at Target but a much better fitted jacket!

This fall quilted coat is a total steal and it is so cute. It is the perfect layer for cooler Fall jackets.

Speaking of Evereve, I shared my latest Trendsend box here on Monday. This order was filled with cute and stylish outfits for the fall. Head over and read about this Trendsend Try On!

Two // Halloween Pillow Covers

Last weekend, I updated our kitchen chalkboard area with some new writing and a cute Halloween pillow cover. I came across the shop All The Pillows and am obsessed with all of their affordable pillow covers.

Shop All The Pillows sent me a few pillow covers to try out and I just love the Halloween designs. I got bot the Jack o Lantern pillow cover and the Orange Check Cover.

It is so much better to get seasonal pillow covers instead of actual pillows because they are a lot easier to store. Plus, you can easily wash the pillow covers and store for the next season. You can check out the entire collection of All the Pillows!

Three // Halloween Chicken Noodle Soup

My friend Tiffany shared the cutest Halloween twist on Chicken Noodle Soup! Yesterday,  I happened to have some Halloween pasta (I always pick up a few packages when I see it out). So, I made my usual Chicken Noodle Soup recipe with Halloween Pasta.

I love her recipe because she suggests cooking the pasta separate from the soup. Then you scoop some of the noodles in the bowl and pour over the broth. I will not make this soup any other way now!

Simple holiday meal ideas are the best! This meal would be fun to make before Trick-or-Treating!

Four //Teen Gift Ideas

It is not too early to get a start on Holiday Shopping! Prime Day is next week, so there are sure to be some good deals. On Wednesday, I shared the first gift guide of the season. My daughter helped me to create a Beauty Gift Guide for Teen Girls!

There are a lot of fun gifts on this list including items from $5 and up! Be sure to take a look at the Teen Girl Gift Guide and let me know what your teen girl (or you) would want from this list:)

Five // Prime Day Sales

As I mentioned, Prime Day is next week on October 13th-14th. Normally, Prime Day is in the summer, but with everything going on this year it was pushed back until now. The timing works out as it is great to start thinking about Christmas shopping!

That jacket is adorable- I may have to snag it- Target is the best. That soup looks so cute and yummy- can’t wait to see the Prime deals- have a great weekend Jaclyn!

Thanks–Target is really on it this season!

  2. Joanne on October 9, 2020 at 7:46 am

We just made chicken noodle soup yesterday and I always wait until 30 minutes before serving to stir in the uncooked noodles. That way they have time to soften but they don’t get over cooked and mushy. It would have been so fun to have had halloween themed pasta shapes to use.

    • Jaclyn on October 9, 2020 at 8:13 am

that is such a good idea! My kids def appreciated the noodles not being soggy and absorbing all the liquid.

  3. Dara on October 9, 2020 at 8:52 am

Love the jacket! I hope there are some good Prime Day deals!

  4. Tiffany on October 9, 2020 at 9:48 am

The soup came out great!! Thank you for sharing the recipe. It’s definitely an easy meal for a busy night. And I know I already said this, but I absolutely love everything on the gift guide you put together. Makes me wish I was a teenager ?

    • Jaclyn on October 9, 2020 at 5:34 pm

The soup was so good and the kids really liked putting the noodles in their bowls separately!

  5. Rebecca @ Every Piece Fits on October 9, 2020 at 2:47 pm

That orangey jacket is DREAMY! If only I lived where it would cool down long enough that I could wear alllll my coats. And I adore your chalkboard wall area. It’s perfect for to-do’s, reminders, and holiday decorating!

    • Jaclyn on October 9, 2020 at 5:33 pm

Oh it sounds warm where you live and I am jealous!
