Friday Favorites: Thanksgiving Wrap Up, Holiday Gifts and Christmas Decor
Happy Friday! I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving! Sorry for those of you who caught my uncompleted post yesterday:) It was so cold here and we ran the Turkey Trot in the morning. BRR! Do you plan to do any Black Friday shopping? In the past, I have ventured out, but these days I prefer online shopping to hitting the stores! Anyway, as usual, I am linking up with Erika, Narci and Andrea. for Friday Favorites!
Thanksgiving Wrap Up
We woke up bright and early to head downtown for the Turkey Trot. This year we made things a little festive with our turkey and pie hats:)
Our youngest stayed back with grandparents while we raced, but he still got a chance to wear the pie hat🙂
We have been hosting Thanksgiving dinner for years now, so the menu is pretty set. Plus, everyone brings a few dishes, so it is really not too crazy on the actual holiday.
Tween Holiday Gift Guide
Now that Thanksgiving is over, I will be focusing on Christmas decorating and Christmas shopping! Earlier in the week, my daughter and I rounded up ideas for Holiday Gifts for Tweens! I absolutely love shopping for her! She has so many interests and hobbies.
It was fun to hear what she had to say on gift ideas and I now have some new ideas on what to get her for Christmas!
Organizing Art Supplies
Also, on the blog earlier in the week, we had another installment of the Clear the Clutter Challenge. This month, Keri and I worked on kids arts and crafts organization.
Our final two challenges of the year are kids spaces. What better time to DECLUTTER than before the kids get new things! Next month, the challenge is kids toys!
More Kirklands Finds
I stopped into Kirklands earlier this week to pick up some plaid pillows I had ordered online. Of course, I spotted so many other fun things.
It’s so nice that Kirklands sells Rae Dunn…much easier than searching at Homegoods and Marshalls!
If I didn’t already have a Yeti coffee travel mug, I would have bought this Chaos and Coffee Mug. So cute (and true!)
Personalized Christmas Plates for Kids
Last but not least, I am so glad to be back talking about some of my favorite products from Kerri Makes (formerly The Personalized Plate)! We are so excited about these new winter themed plates that we can use all season long! I got the boys the snowman plates and my daughter the hot cocoa one.
They look great as part of our hot chocolate station:)
I shared my review of these plates earlier this year and I can honestly say we still use them almost daily. The plates hold up so well and are dishwasher and microwave safe. I opted for winter plates but the Christmas series is sooo cute!!
These plates would be a great addition to a Christmas morning breakfast!
I love the milk and cookies platter for Santa!
We also received this buffalo check pattern platter. I have it on display in our kitchen.
These platters would be great Hostess Gifts!!
For the next two days, Kerri Makes is offering my blog readers 25% off your order!! Use Coffee25 at Checkout to receive the discount. The code is good until Sunday, November 25th at 11:59 PM EST If you have any issues using the coupon code, please let me know!

Today if you need me, I’ll be decorating our house:) I hope you have a great weekend!!
Love your turkey trot outfits! It was so cold here that most everything got canceled or rescheduled. They usually have a turkey dip in the lake and a few football games for the local high schools but this year it was pretty quiet.
Thank you Joanne! Wow I can’t imagine taking a dip in a lake in Thanksgiving but it sounds like a fun tradition:) It was pretty cold here too.
Oh my goodness, cutest turkey trotters ever! Love those personalized plates. I hope the rest of this holiday weekend is just as sweet as can be!
You are adorable in that pie hat- OMG so cute! I love your personalized plates too- what a nice touch for the holidays. Have a great week Jaclyn!
