Friday Favorites: March Wrap Up
Happy Friday! As per the usual Friday routine, I am linking up with Erika, Narci and Andrea for Friday Favorites. I’m also linking with Jordan at Southern Sweet and Sassy—so be sure to head over to her page! I’ll share a peek into our last few days and some of my favorites of the week.

Date Night In
My husband and I started the week with a lot of fun doing a Date Night In box. I shared the scoop on Monday including what comes in a Date Night In box. This monthly subscription box provided a lot of entertainment…and laughs!
We had no idea what to expect after reading our date card! The date was totally outside of our typical date night at home and not activities we would think up on our own! This subscription box is the perfect option when you can not get out of the house for a date but want to do something a little more unique than watching T.V.!
Pink Concert
The highlight of the week was attending the PINK concert with my daughter and my mom! I can’t think of a more entertaining performance for my daughter’s first rock concert!
Seriously PINK was amazing! She had an amazing set, choreography and costumes. At one point, she flew through the air over the audience. She sang a mix of her loud and powerful songs and then her quieter but equally powerful songs! I really can’t think of a better performer.
Sometimes you go to concerts and the artist barely talks to the audience and you can tell it’s just another show for them. But Pink was so engaging. She had some great messages about being yourself and following your dreams. (great for my daughter!)
This concert certainly set the bar high for my daughter’s next concert!!
Spring Break
It is hard to come down from the concert, but thankfully we started spring break today! The first part of our break will be low key and then we leave for our trip later in the week! Hopefully, we can get to some spring cleaning done, perhaps with the kids’ help!!
I have a very short attention span when it comes to spring cleaning! I prefer shorter chunks of time to work on chores and cleaning. So next week, I will share some ideas with you on how to spring cleaning done in thirty minutes intervals! Stay tuned.
March Wrap Up
On Wednesday, I wrapped up our March favorites as part of the monthly What’s Up Wednesday link up. We had a busy month which included St. Patrick’s Day fun and adding a furry friend to our family🙂
As part of the wrap up, I shared my new favorite earrings and sandals!

Old Navy Hits and Misses
Also this week, I picked up a couple of inexpensive items at Old Navy. Honestly, until recently, I had not spent a lot of time shopping at Old Navy. But over the last year, it’s become one of my go-to spots especially for the kids.
Last weekend, I placed a big online order for items for the kids and I. When I received the order, most items were awesome scores (especially because they were on major sale). But I did have a few misses, either the items that were ill fitted or the material was too thin.
First, I found these shorts for my 8 year old. If you have a boy who hates anything that does not come with an elastic waist then these shorts are for him! My guy , who refuses anything besides athletic shorts, gave these shorts the seal of approval! PHEW! I got the carbon color and they are perfect for dressing up or down. It’s a nice step up from typical gym shorts. They are lightweight and seem not to be wrinkle prone (total score!).
Besides the shorts, I ordered three dresses for myself. This dress will be perfect for a cover up.
Then, this adorable dress was another fun find. I’m thinking this can be worn casual with converse but also dressed up with sandals.
The thing that I have found with Old Navy is that I really need to try on their clothes before buying. Clothing sizes and fits don’t always seem to be consistent.. It comes with the territory though as the clothing is very inexpensive. So I can’t be too picky! Overall, I’m a fan of Old Navy but I just have to expect that not everything I buy online will work out.

That wraps up my week. I am sure hoping the weather will perk up soon and we will have more warm days than cold! Hope you have a Happy Easter!

Date night in a box is such a brilliant idea! Love your kitchen – so pretty! Have a wonderful Easter week-end x
Very cool that you went to a Pink concert! I love Old Navy but it’s definitely hit or miss. We just got these cute yellow dresses there. Mine is a little too big and my daughter’s is a little too short!
