Happy Friday! It’s been another “manic” May week and I’m starting to realize this is the norm for May! I have to say it sure is flying by! Today, as usual, I am sharing my favorites of the week and I am linking up with Erika, Narci and Andrea for Friday Favorites.
Mother’s Day
I was looking back at my week while writing this post and almost forgot that just last Sunday was Mother’s Day!
It was a fun day and the kids spoiled me with some sweet gifts. One of my favorite handmade gifts was ones my mom helped to put together. The kids each gave me a Rae Dunn bud vase filled with paper flowers. Two of my favorite things–flowers and Rae Dunn:)
Thankful for my mom and all that she does for our family! ♥
I was hoping for a picture with ALL of my kids but a silly selfie with the boys was about all that I got!
Rae Dunn Summer Finds
Speaking of Rae Dunn, I stopped into my local Marshalls this week and stumbled upon so many new Rae Dunn summer finds! I wanted to scoop it all up, but I’m trying to keep my Rae Dunn collection under control:)
These plates were adorable! Each one of the set of 4 had a different graphic!
I love these bowls and just might have to go back and grab them! So perfect for summer entertaining!
Too many Rae Dunn finds in one spot!
Summer Bar Cart
Earlier in the week, I shared my ideas for a Summer Dining Bar Cart. Having a designated station for outdoor dining necessities has made it so much easier for eating outdoors!
Our bar cart is right next to our patio, so it makes it so quick and easy to grab the things we need and head outside. We are just about finished getting our patio all set up…I’ll be sure to share with you soon!
I spotted so many fun RED, WHITE & BLUE decor at Target yesterday!! All of these items would be perfect for stocking a summer bar cart!
I love all the patriotic decor because it fits in with all of the summer holidays!
May Challenge Update
Back at the beginning of the month, I shared our May challenge that entailed some health, food and financial goals! We are still going strong on these areas. Even though I have stopped at several of my favorite stores, I managed to not buy any clothes or home decor! It has taken some serious self control! Why do stores look more appealing when you don’t want to spend any money?!
Speaking of saving money, one of the very first bloggers I ever started following (almost 10 years ago) is the Money Saving Mom. Back at that time, I used to be a lot better about finding deals and using coupons! She has always had so many great tips. Anyway, this month, she is challenging herself to spend only $70 a week on groceries for her family of 5!! It seems impossible, but it is certainly motivating! You can read all about her menu plans and exactly what she has been buying here. What are your thoughts on this kind of weekly grocery budget? Does it seem achievable?
The Biggest Debate of the Week
Finally, I’ve got to know, are you Team Yanny or Team Laurel? The first time I listened to the clip I heard Yanny. But, when I listened to the audio again, I heard Laurel! Now all I hear is Laurel! The rest of my house is divided! Leave it to something as silly as an audio clip to cause an Internet frenzy:)
