Happy Friday! I hope you had a great week! We are ready to wrap up the week. The kids have had state testing all week and they are sure ready for a break. It was a little bit of a nutty start to the week (more on that in a second). As usual, I am recapping the week with my Friday Favorites. Sharing a little bit of mom life and my latest favorite finds and products!
First Broken Bones
As I mentioned, the week started off a little crazy. I do not know how our family has made it this long without any broken bones but this past weekend changed that! My poor daughter had an accident with her Hoverboard. She got on the Hoverboard and took off too quickly and fell off. Not exactly a favorite moment of the week!
The good news is that she only ended up needing a removable cast for three weeks! Plus, she has had fun having her friends and family sign her cast.
There is always a brightside:)
Spring Cleaning the Coat Closet
I will admit that, I still have a few things to do on our spring cleaning list. But one thing I took care of this week was cleaning up our mud closet. I hope I didn’t jinx myself, but I put away all the winter coats and accessories.
It actually just took a few minutes, because I just have to swap the winter accessories with the spring and summer stuff. We keep out of season items in the upper baskets and the in season things in the lower baskets.
I threw away anything that was no longer wanted (or fit!) and washed all the coats. Now, I will take a few of our coats to the dry cleaners too.
Easter Basket Favorites
This past weekend, I finished gathering goodies for the kids Easter basket’s. I got several of the things for my daughter from this post over HERE including the facial masks, pens, bible and nail polish!
For the boys, I got them books, a Lego set, a DVD (to bring on our road trip) and candy. I also got my 10 year old this bike lock. He needed a new one and why not throw in a few practical gifts –that I will need to buy him anyway?!
Even though the kids are getting older, I still got them bubbles and sidewalk chalk. They always mention that they get these things for Easter, so I don’t want to break tradition yet.
My six year old still really loves bubbles and last year I got him a bubble machine. I like that it is less messy than a container of bubble (that I am constantly having to dig the wand out of).
We received this Bubble Machine to try out and it is a new favorite! It does require six batteries but I like that the motor sound is not loud (compared to other machines.). Bubble machines are the way to go for little kids–less mess and less bubble spillage!
Another Easter favorite that has held the test of time? These Count & Match Egg Set (almost 50% off right now!) has been a favorite toy for all three of my kids. I always know if something is a good toy if it is one that I am always cleaning up. Ten years later and our set of count and match eggs is still a toy that is in use! So many uses for these eggs beyond just the sorting and matching. These eggs are a perfect Easter basket toy!
Thank you to KidzLane for these two Easter basket favorites. I can wait to pass on to one of our friends!
School Testing Printables
If you caught my Instastories this week, you saw that I surprised my kids with a few goodies to give them a little encouragement for State Testing Week. Normally, my kids do not get that nervous about testing but for some reason, this year they have been talking about lot about them.
I can not take the credit for the idea as I was inspired by Holly from Coordinator of Chaos and her cute School Testing Printables! I used her school testing printables and then picked up a few treats from the dollar store.
The kids LOVED these little goodies and they definitely went off to school on a positive note. I bought a bunch of snacks, so that I can surprise them again when they finish up state testing in a few weeks. These printables would be great any time of year when the kids have a big test for school-or a big event with sports or other activities.
As Seen on the Blog
Earlier this week, I shared our review of our latest KIDS NIGHT IN BOX! We had a BLAST with this box. The kids loved this theme and I think it was our favorite box to date!
Mini Terrarium DIY
Yesterday, I shared an easy DIY Mini Terrarium project! It took my daughter less than ten minutes to make these adorable terrariums for her room. The supply list and instructions are over here on this post!

So sorry to hear about the broken arm! Ouch! We have had a broken finger here. We still have winter coats out so I can’t quite clean them up! It’s cold in the mornings still. Hope you had a good weekend!
