Hi friends! As per the usual Friday routine, I am linking up with Erika, Narci and Andrea for Friday Favorites. I’ll share a peek into our last few days and some of my favorites of the week.
Grape Juice for the Stomach Flu
This week started a little nutty with my husband and youngest son both down with a stomach bug. Not my favorite! I am so thankful for my Instagram friends who shared a natural remedy for preventing the stomach bug! Have you ever heard that Grape Juice is supposed to help with keeping the virus away? I had no idea but after a little Internet research, it seems that many believe it keeps the virus away. I’m willing to try anything to stay healthy! So far so good (fingers crossed!)
Sunday Snack Prepping
Well, because I was busy running around taking care of the sick patients, I am so thankful that I spent two hours prepping some snacks for the week! On Monday, I shared how I prepped 13 snacks in under two hours! Our lunch making and breakfasts were so much quicker and smoother. I am hooked!
The freezer breakfast sandwiches I made were a total hit! Such an easy and healthy breakfast.
Spring Home Updates
Despite the illnesses in the family, I squeezed in some time to decorate the house for spring! Truth be told, I might have taken on a little more than I should have handled–between sanitizing the house , tending to a sick one and trying to decorate! But, decorating is my stress relief, so I enjoyed getting things in place despite the circumstances. Check out my spring home here!
In addition to my home tour on Wednesday, I shared some great spring decor finds for under $20! Faux greenery is one of my favorite inexpensive options to add warmth and color to the home! An even more budget friendly option would be to grow your own grass in a pot!
It is hard to resist adding a little whimsy to Easter decor. These Peep pillows are my kids’ favorite decoration in our house.
These Peep guys don’t last very long on the bench–everyone just wants to snuggle them!
Favorite Self Tanner
If you follow me on Instagram, I shared my favorite self tanner on Instastories the other day. It’s always this time of year that I realize just how pale I have gotten over the winter. So, last week I started using this self tanner! It is made with organic ingredients and has a “1” safe rating on the Environmental Working Group (EWG) website for safe beauty products.
Last year, when I started using this tanner, I had so many compliments on my glow. It provides a nice, natural look!
Adorable St. Patrick’s Day Decor
I couldn’t help but share the cutest St. Patrick’s Day decor I’ve ever seen! Holly, from Coordinator of Chaos (who happens to be one of our new Clear the Clutter hosts), shared her festive St. Patrick’s Day decor this week and I am swooning! I am already scheming on using her idea to make rainbow flower arrangement! Be sure to head over to see all of her St. Patrick’s decor!

That about wraps up my week! Monday we are back with another Clear the Clutter Challenge! The focus is on BATHROOMS! We’ve got two new hosts joining us this month, so be sure to join us next week!
Bless your heart – I can’t believe how much you accomplished with sick ones. I’m sure i would still be curled up in the fetal position in the corner some where!!! But, I’m so glad that you dodged a bullet!!!
Thank you so much for sharing my St Patrick’s Day decor! It was fun to do and just makes me so darn happy! 🙂
Hope you guys have a wonderful weekend!!!
Aww thanks Holly! I seem to do better and have more motivation under stress…lol! Have a wonderful weekend and see you Monday for Clear the Clutter!
What cute decorations!!!! Oh my goodness!
I have heard of the grape juice preventative measure. I’ve done it too and also take a little apple cider vinegar with it. I try to drink grape juice everyday just to “maintain” since I work in a school and make sure I wash my hands constantly!! Hope you stay healthy! Sounds like you’re in the clear
What a good idea to drink the juice on a more regular basis! I hadn’t drank it in years and realized how good it actually tastes…LOL!
I don’t like grape juice but my kids drink some every week, I wonder if that is often enough to keep the bug away!
Any little bit has to help right?!
Have a great weekend:)
I love all of your decor, and I’m heading over right now to check out your snack idea post!
Congrats to you on decorating the house for spring AND nursing your sick family. Everything you did looks amazing! I am horrible at decorating. I love the idea of snack prepping. That would definitely help speed up our morning routine. I am going to check out your Clear the Clutter challenge too! Hope everyone is feeling better! Have a great weekend…..stopping by from Friday Favorites!
Thank you so much Nancy! I’m so glad you stopped by! I’m guessing I could find some good food ideas on your blog:)
Hi Jaclyn, so glad I fond your blog – think I am going to love it – all of the natural health and beauty tips are right up my street! I had no idea about the grape juice, that’s a great tip! Best Wishes, Joanne (Europafox Blog)
Aww thanks Joanne! So nice of you to comment! Hope you have a great week!
