Happy Friday! I am glad it is the weekend already. The week after a break is always the hardest. The kids will be happy to get a little more sleep over the weekend. It has been a few weeks since I posted a Friday Favorites. As usual, I am sharing some ideas in home, style and family!

Spring Decluttering Projects
We had a really nice spring break vacation. It was the kind of trip that I did not manage to take many pictures except for a few family pictures.
All vacations have to come to an end. When, I came back from our trip I had a strong urge to have a clean and decluttered house. It often happens after a trip that I realize how simply we can really live. Plus, I appreciate not having to constantly clean while on vacation.
So, this past weekend, I tackled several decluttering projects that have been on my list for awhile.
First, I cleaned out our basement shelves. While, this space will never be pretty and it is rarely seen by anyone, it definitely needed to be organized.
I was able to clear out all the stuff that was on the floor and get everything on a shelf. We love these shelving units for our basement and garage. These shelves are perfect for storing everything! Even though the area is still not pretty, it is much more organized. The floor was originally covered with boxes.
After the basement, I made a change with our Lego organization and guest room. Currently, we had a guest room that stored all of our Legos. This room has served as a craft room and then a Lego room and we loved having those things in there.
But, the kids are getting older and now I wanted to have the guest room a more relaxing and toy free space. Once I get the guest room set up, I will share some pictures with you.
So we took all of the Legos to our finished basement. I still need to put the shelves up in the basement. But, we already love this change. I sold a few things on Facebook to make room for all the Legos.
We still have a big decluttering project that we are going to work on this week, our garage! It is a big project and I am not sure we will finish it all. I will share our progress over on Instagram.
Small Front Porch Decor
This last weekend, I also spent time refreshing our front porch. I had a little side table that I gave a fresh coat of spray paint to. This side table was only $5 a few years ago and with a fresh coat of paint, it is still going strong.
Then, I gathered up items I already had around our house. I brought back the Lemon Doormat that I had out several years ago.
Since it is too early in the season to buy live flowers, I incorporated faux greenery. The weather is getting so nice here and I love to sit out on our front porch.
If you have a small front porch, I rounded up several front porch chair options to consider.
Homemade Father’s Day Gift Idea
There are so many holiday coming up soon including Mother’s Day, Memorial Day and Father’s Day. This week, I shared a cute DIY Father’s Day gift idea. While I know Mother’s Day is coming up first, I like to get ideas out to you early in case you like to plan ahead.
Of course, we can not forget about Mother’s Day which is coming up sooner. I have a some Mother’s Day gift ideas here.
Friday Wrap Up
I am ready for the weekend to begin even if it means a few house projects or two. We have been having S’mores by the fire lately, so I hope we can do some of that as well. We are loving our Solo Stove (that I got my husband for his birthday last fall).
Anyway, I hope you have a great weekend!
