Happy Friday! It has been another quick week with the kids off on Monday. It seems like my kids haven’t had a five day school week all year. Lucky them! Anyway, as usual I am recapping the week with my Friday Favorites! Sharing a little bit of mom life and my latest favorite finds and products!
Kirklands Spring Home Decor
As is typical in Ohio, the weather has been all over the place this week. We started the week with snow and freezing temperatures and then rain later in the week. Then yesterday, we even got a little bit of sun! Anyway, I have MAJOR spring fever! To beat the winter blues, I headed out to a few stores to check out the latest spring products. As soon as Valentine’s Day is over, all the stores are stocked with spring and summer things!
My first stop was Kirklands and they did not disappoint! I love seeing all the pastels and greenery! Easter seems later this year, so I won’t be decorating for a while. But all the bunnies are so cute!
I love all of these lanterns! I’d like to get some new ones but it is hard to decide!
These pastel side tables are so pretty! These tables would so pretty for a covered patio or porch!
I plan to get some lighter pillows for our family room. I love these modern print pillow options! These would work all year–not just in the spring time!
As much as I love real flowers and plants, I do much better with faux ones! I have a few vases that will need some spring faux flowers!
I’m obsessed with these white vases and they are reasonable priced (as compared with higher end ones I’ve seen).
I mainly window shopped for this trip but I did come home with this lemon welcome mat! It was the last one so I didn’t want to miss out. I’m already thinking about how to style our front door area and this lemon welcome mat will be perfect!
My spring decor plan includes some faux flowers, lighter pillows and some lighter decor pieces. Do you lighten up your house for spring?

Favorite Athleta Pants
Also, I stopped into Athleta as I wanted to find a pair of workout shorts. I didn’t find any shorts I liked but I did come home with the comfiest pair of joggers. I own several pair of Athleta joggers because they are SO comfortable! What makes these joggers awesome is the soft sweatpant fabric lining. It is hard to articulate just how cozy these pants are! There is also a gray version of these pants. But the gray looks a little more casual and I like that the black pair can be dressed up or down.
I will be living in these joggers until the summer time!
I’ve mentioned before about my favorite grocery savings app FETCH REWARDS! And I want to tell you about it again, because you can earn points to get gift cards at a lot of stores included ATHLETA! I was quickly able to earn a $25 gift card to Athleta. The app is super easy to use and all you have to do is scan your grocery receipts after you shop!
Right now there is a extra promo code to earn 3000 points (normally 2000 points) when you download the app! 3000 points = $3 right! Download the app to your phone and use my promo code: A8FXT
School Lunch Inspiration
It is about this time of year that we start to lack motivation in the area of school lunch making! Am I right?! Recently, we received these snack size lunch boxes from Stuck on You and we’ve been a little more inspired to keep being creative with lunches!
These bento style lunch boxes are the perfect size for a larger snack or as part of a lunch box. We like this smaller bento box size for lunches because we can add other things into the lunch bag like a yogurt tube or full apple.
Each of the kids got to personalize their boxes included name, logo, font size and color! We have been using bento boxes for a while now and we love them! It honestly makes lunch prep easier knowing how many compartments you need to fill up. It is fun to think up what to put in each little section.
My daughter likes dips in her lunches and we have had no leak issues. These Stuck on You boxes wash up so well. While bento boxes are a little bit of an investment, in the long run you save money on plastic bags and small plastic containers (that you have to throw away every so often!). We are definitely hooked on these containers!
Thank you to Stuck on You for providing us with these bento boxes!

As Seen on the Blog
On Monday, I shared our favorite kid friendly cookbooks! I gathered up all of our cookbooks and asked the kids to pick a few meals. It really helps to get the kids involved in meal planning if you want them to eat what you make.
Then Tuesday, I shared our experience at the Chuck E. Cheese’s grand reopening! My boys had so much fun in this newly renovated space! There are a lot more games and the space is so much bigger and brighter!
Wednesday, I shared an awesome communication device for your child that is SCREEN FREE! This is the perfect option for the child who is not ready for a phone but still could benefit from a device to stay connected to parents!
That about wraps up the week!! Happy Friday and I hope you have a great weekend! I am linking up with Erika, Narci and Andrea for this Friday Favorites post, so be sure to head over to their blogs as well!
