Happy Friday! I hope you had a good week! We are so excited it is May! The countdown to summer break is on! As usual, I am recapping the week with my Friday Favorites. Sharing a little bit of mom life and my latest favorite finds and products!
Family Fun in Rosemary Beach
It was hard getting back to reality after a fun spring break! We had a really fun trip at Rosemary Beach! It was one of longest road trips (14+ hours each way) but we survived!
I’m hoping to do a trip report soon, because it was such a fun area and I have a lot to share!
Rosemary Beach was an ADORABLE town!
We spent most of our time at the beach. We brought this beach game with us and it was perfect for the day the water felt too chilly! If you are looking for a fun Father’s Day gift, this set is a lot of fun!! It comes with a carrying case and a ball pump. Super easy to transport to the beach or to play in your backyard!
We also spent time at the pool or biking along the 30A. We even spotted dolphins, a sea turtle and sting rays!
The kids had the pool to themselves on a chilly afternoon!
The week went too fast and we were sad for it to end. But it was so nice to get away and enjoy some family time!
Yogi Bear’s Jellystone at Kozy Rest
Do you think about your next vacation as soon as you come home from you last one?
The best way to deal with post-vacation blues is to think about your next trip! Later this month, we will be headed to Yogi Bear’s Jellystone at Kozy Rest in PA! We have never been here but we are so excited because there is so much to do! Located just under two hours from Cleveland, Kozy Rest is an affordable vacation option to consider!
We will be staying in one of their pet friendly cabins! We missed our dog while him back home all week while we were in Florida, so we are happy we can take him on this vacation!
Another lodging option (not pet friendly) is a Yurt! How fun would it be to stay in a Yurt?!
Yogi Bear’s Jellystone at Kozy Rest has something for everyone! There is a whole bunch of amenities that will keep us busy all weekend long. Some of our attractions we are most excited about include:
Shuffleboard
Dog Park with Dog Wash
Gaga Ball Pits (My kids love this game!)
RC Race Tracks
Laser Tag Battlefield
Swimming Pool
Jump Zone
18 Hole Mini Golf
Playground
Half Court Basketball
Game Room
Four-Wheel Pedal Carts
Gem Mining Sluice
Horseshoe Pits
Bingo
I can’t wait to share our experience with you and stay tuned as later this month, I’ll host a giveaway for a family weekend at Jellystone Park at Kozy Rest!!
Thank you to Yogi Bear’s Jellystone at Kozy Rest for hosting our family for the weekend. Check out their Facebook page for upcoming events and deals!
Summer Target Decor Finds
I made a quick trip to Target the other day and I had a hard time getting past the dollar bins! The bins were filled with the cutest Hawaiian/Luau themed accessories and decor!
This mini wooden pineapple came home with me. I’ll show you where I put it in just a minute!
So many cute items if you were having a luau or beach party! I wish I was because I would have bought everything up!
These bamboo looking trays would be so cute for serving appetizers or drinks!
How cute are these Tiki plates?!
Target has the cutest party supplies! These beverage napkins are so fun!
This towel would be perfect for a bar cart or outdoor kitchen!
Now I really want to have a luau party! These pineapple sunglasses are SO FUN!
What I love about the Target dollar bins is that, the next time I’m back at Target, there will probably be a whole new theme! You never know what you will find.
So what did I do with the mini pineapple? Well, just like the book, If You Give a Dog a Donut….except it is If You Give a Mom a few minutes at Target….
I used the mini pineapple to make a new Coffee Station set up. Everything I already had on hand except for the pineapple and framed art.
You can not go wrong at Target! So many cute summer decor finds!
As Seen on the Blog
Earlier this week, I shared a new daily habit we have started with the kids. You can read about our Daily Gratitude Journal in this post. It is such an easy activity to implement with your kids!
There are so many long term benefits to starting a journal with your kids. You can read about some of the positive outcomes over HERE!
Speaking of daily habits, this week on the blog, I invited you to join a 30 Day Self Care Challenge! I think we can all agree that May is a CRAZY time of year for parents! There are so many end of school year activities to keep track of–it is so easy to get overwhelmed!
That is why I have started a 30 Day Self Care Challenge! What better time than this month to make sure you are taking care of yourself! If you are left feeling depleted, it is hard to take care of others!
Head to this post to learn how to start the challenge! Even though I started the challenge on May 1st, you can start anytime! Pick a few daily habits you want to focus on and get started today!
