Happy Weekend! It felt like a long week, so we are ready for the weekend. Next weekend my daughter and I are heading to NYC for a long delayed thirteenth birthday trip (18 months later) and this weekend, I am out of town too. So it is a busy few weeks here. I Hope you had a great week! As usual, I am sharing some Friday favorites in home, style and family.
Fall Mantel Decor
Earlier this week, I joined a Fall Home Tour with a few other bloggers and I shared my family room. We are keeping our fall decorations simple for now. In a few weeks, I will add some Halloween decorations. Every year, I feel differently about seasonal decorations. Some years, I decorate the house from head to toe and other times, I want to keep things simple. This was one of those years that I did not want to drag out a lot of fall seasonal decorations.
Be sure to check out this post to see some other’s homes decked out for fall.
Trader Joe’s Fall Finds
On Monday, I made a trip to Trader Joe’s. I usually shop there one or two times in the early fall to pick up some of their fun fall seasonal products. While my Trader Joe’s did not have all of the Fall things out yet, including big pumpkins, I did grab several fall treats! Check out this post for all Fall Favorites at Trader Joe’s.
My favorite new item was Caramel Sea Salt Chips! Oh my goodness, these chips are even better than butterscotch chips.
I swapped chocolate chips for these Caramel Sea Salt Chips in my favorite Pumpkin Spice Muffins. So good! These muffins are the perfect fall snack or breakfast!
One of these muffins with a cup of coffee and some pumpkin creamer is so good! My favorite fall coffee creamer is Nutpods Pumpkin Spice.
Target Fall Kitchen Decor
The other day when I was at Target, I found some pretty Fall Kitchen decorations. I love all the gold looking accents in home decor right now and these stainless steel brass serving pieces are so pretty! These serving pieces would be pretty on a fall tablescape, even Thanksgiving.
I did not see this gold bowl in person, but I think it would look nice on a coffee table or counter top.
I’ve always liked these pumpkin soup bowls. They look so pretty on a table or kitchen counter. You can not beat fifteen dollars for one of these considering Crate and Barrel and William Sonoma sell similar pumpkin bowls for a whole lot more. I can imagine serving warm soup in one of these pumpkin bowls.
One easy way to add seasonal decor to the kitchen is with towels and linens. This blue and gold towel and hot pad set in the Target Dollar Bins is really pretty. I like adding blue into fall decor.
These mini waffle makers get me every time. We have a mini pumpkin waffle and my youngest son request pumpkin waffles all the time. You could put these mini Halloween waffles in school lunches or make them for a fun Halloween breakfast.
You could put Halloween spider candy gummies on the spider web waffles. There are so many creative Halloween snack possibilities with this spider web waffle maker.
Friday Wrap Up
Later today I am headed to Bloggy Con to get the latest best practices in blogging, social media and women in business. I went to this conference two years ago and met a lot of fun bloggers including Crystal Paine from Money Saving Mom. My family is joining me tomorrow since it is located at Cedar Point and once the conference is over for the day, I can join them at the park. It will be a fun weekend.
Anyway, I hope you have a great weekend.
