Friday Favorites: Target Shoe Sale, Spring Shopping and Festive Easter Appetizer
Yay for Friday! Even though it has been a short school week with Spring Break officially beginning today, it has felt like a SLOW week! My husband has been out of town since Sunday and the kids have been busy! So this mom is ready for a quiet Friday. Anyway, as usual, I am recapping the week with my Friday Favorites. Sharing a little bit of mom life and my latest favorite finds and products!
Target Shoe Sale
This past weekend, my daughter had a piano recital and we realized the morning of the show, that she did not have a good pair of nicer spring shoes to wear! My son also needed a new pair of dress pants! So, I dragged the kids to the stores for some quick, before the recital, shopping!
We stumbled on the Target Spring Shoe Sale (currently Buy one get one 50% off through Saturday!) and my daughter and I found a ton of shoes that we loved. I hope someday we can share shoes, but she is still a few sizes smaller than me!
I normally don’t buy shoes from Target because I choose comfort over style and Target shoes are not always comfortable to me. However, I got the pair on the left and I have to say this pair is SO comfy! I was drawn to this trendy mules, but I had to be realistic with myself that they would not be comfortable on my feet. So, these slip ons were a perfect compromise of trendy but comfy.
My daughter selected the gladiator style sandals and I have to say that I want a pair of them for myself now.
There are SO many cute Target sandals right now, I suggest running over to Target before the sale ends! Although, their non sale prices are pretty good too!

Latest Earrings Order
I’ve shared this shop before, but I love the earrings at Sisters and I Designs. Last weekend they had a flash sale for their larger size earrings. So, I decided to give them a try.
I am going to admit, that when I took them out of the package I was nervous that they were too large for me. I love their signature miniature collection. But, once I put them on I LOVED them. These earrings are so light weight that you don’t even realize you are wearing earrings at all.
I got this fun cork pair, yellow pair and then a free striped pair (it was a buy 3 get one free sale). Every Friday, Sisters and I has a flash sale that last until Monday. So be sure to check on their Instagram to see what the deal is for the weekend. Plus, when you order, use JACLYN10 for an extra 10% off!!
Mother Daughter Shopping Time
Yesterday, my daughter’s evening activity was unexpectedly cancelled. The boys were all occupied, so we were able to sneak away for a few hours of mother daughter time. My daughter is just getting to the point where she enjoys shopping. So, before we knew it, we had spent four hours walking around the stores!
I let her take the lead on most of the stores we visited, so ended up at stores I normally don’t shop. I hadn’t been into LUSH in years.
I spotted this coffee scrub and the salesperson had me try it on my hands and I was sold. It smells AMAZING and left my hands so smooth. As if drinking my coffee isn’t enough, I have a coffee scrub for my skin:)
One of her main shopping goals was to find a medium size back pack that she could bring for our spring break trip. Her last backpack was on its last leg. We all about gave up until we found these backpacks. While they are popular with her friends, they are actually really cute and functional. She picked the yellow color.
These bags are on the pricier side, but we were happy to find something that really fit all of her needs. It will be a great bag to use for toting her things around to her after school activities. Plus, it seems really durable! I have to admit that I got online and checked out their whole line of products and I love these tote bags!

As Seen on the Blog
We kicked off this Easter week with a spring themed charcuterie board! I shared this easy cheese platter idea to give you some inspiration for your Easter brunch or dinner! All the details on this festive Easter appetizer over HERE.
Plus, this week’s posts included an easy and non-toxic DIY! Take a look at how to make your own foaming hand soap in minutes! Once you buy the FOUR ingredients for this soap, you will be able to make your own hand soap for a FRACTION of the cost of store bought products. As a bonus, homemade soap smells SO GOOD!
That is about all for this week! I hope you have a Happy Easter and a wonderful weekend! I am linking up with Erika, Narci and Andrea for this Friday Favorites post, so be sure to head over to their blogs as well!

I find shoes at Target or either hit or miss for me; because I too choose comfort over style (though I prefer to have both!).
Glad to hear I’m not only one about Target. So many ladies can wear all their shoes but I am so particular. I walked around in my new ones while shopping yesterday and they were comfy the whole time!
I took a look at the shoe sale after you posted about it and there are some great prices. I feel like I might have too many pairs of sandals already! Although I do need a new regular, everyday pair! Hmm.. The earrings look great on you! What a fun shopping trip with your daughter too! Enjoy your trip!
Never too many shoes right?! I actually went through my sandals after I got these and donated a pair. It is nice to refresh my shoes for spring.
Shoe sales, earrings and Coffee Scrub!!! Sign me up! I love all of these.
Yay for mother/daughter time. I love backpacks over purses most days, so I could really use a new everyday backpack. Ooh love the shoes you got!!
