Happy Friday friends! We had better than usual weather for Halloween. But now it is so cold here! I am already at the point in the season where I am wearing a winter hat around the house. Anyway I hope you are having a great first week of November. As usual, I am sharing some favorites in home, style and family!

Teenager Gift Ideas
Now that Halloween is over are you thinking about the upcoming holiday season? While last year, I put up our Christmas tree on November 1st, this year I am waiting a few more weeks. I don’t think there has to be hard rule for everyone. I say whatever makes you feel good when it comes to holiday decorating.
However, I am already thinking about Christmas gifts and I really want to have all of my gifts purchased this month. On Monday, I shared a new Holiday Gift Guide. This one was for teenagers. Whether you have a teenage boy or a teenage girl, there might be something fun on this list that they would like!
One of my favorite gift ideas is a DIY food kit. I ordered my son this Rootbeer making kit and then I am giving my daughter this Fortune Cookie Kit. It is a fun way to get kids in the kitchen and the kit comes with everything you need to make the recipe! There are so many recipe kits to choose from.
New Flannel Sheets
Another favorite this week was changing out all of our cotton sheets for flannel sheets. We have never had flannel sheets on all of the beds before. But, I was at Costco and there were good deals on flannel sheets. It just sounded cozy to have new sheets. We are all loving them. This is the flannel plaid sheet set I bought my daughter.
Since cold temperatures are inevitable here, we might as make winter a little more enjoyable.
November Traditions
It is always a little sad when another holiday is over. Every Halloween, I realize how big the kids are getting and that our current traditions will change for new ones. Thankfully, the next few months are full of fun and more traditions. On November 1st, we started our annual Thankful Chalkboard tradition. It is a simple thing to do.
We also started our 30 Days of Thankful activities. I have a printable that you can download to start your own gratitude activities.
Home Office Update
A few weeks ago, I talked about my partnership with Havenly. I have slowly been making the suggested design changes to my office. I was so happy with the concept my designer put together and I plan to use most of the ideas.
The first thing I have done is get the suggested computer printer/bookcase. My husband put the cabinet together a few days ago and it looks so good in my office. Previously I had a very small side table with all of the computer paper strewn about the area. It never stayed organized! This is a lot cleaner of a look.
I was so pleased with the entire process of Havenly. My designer is still in contact with me to make some tweaks and to make sure I love everything! If you have a room in your home that could use some design expertise, I recommend trying Havenly. It is a really good budget friendly interior design option!

Friday Wrap Up
My kids are off from school today, so we have to come up with some fun things to do. Although, they will be content to stay at home and relax!
I hope you have a wonderful weekend.
