Happy Friday! It’s been a long week and with Halloween being smack in the middle of it, it felt even longer! My kids woke up Thursday morning thinking it was the weekend already! Anyway, as usual, I am linking up with Erika, Narci and Andrea. for Friday Favorites! I’ll recap our week, share a few new fun finds and favorites!
Halloween Wrap Up
Despite a few hiccups, it was another FUN Halloween. Our first glitch was not having enough pumpkins to carve! Several of our pumpkins we bought at the pumpkin patch rotted. Then, when we went to the stores (two days before Halloween) to get new ones, every place was sold out! It wasn’t a huge deal, but my husband does like to carve a pumpkin for each of the kids. So our annual pumpkin carving night was just for one pumpkin. Not to mention we didn’t have very many seeds to roast. The seeds one of the best parts about carving pumpkins right?

Then, on the day of Halloween, my youngest refused to wear his Halloween costume to his school party. Again, not a huge deal. But, I had one of those mom moments where I struggled with what to do. Do I let him go to school not wearing a costume (even though every one else would be in one) or do I go with his wishes and agree to no costume?? In the end, he did not wear his costume and he came home HAPPY from school. He had the best time at his school party NOT wearing his costume. It was a reminder to me that I, sometimes, have to let go of my own expectations and let my kids take the lead.
Finally, it’s not Halloween if it isn’t raining or cold! This year we had all the rain!! However, all three kids were ALL IN for trick or treating.
Every year I think it’ll be our last fun year celebrating Halloween as a family. I’m thankful we had another fun year together in our neighborhood.

November Checklist
Now that Halloween is over, I have the upcoming holiday season on my mind! Yesterday, I shared a November checklist that will hopefully allow you to feel a little less crazy during the holiday season.
These are things that I try to get off my plate this month so that my December to do list is not so full!
Thanksgiving Home Decor
How many of you host Thanksgiving dinner? It is the one holiday we host for our family every year. I don’t do much in the way of Thanksgiving decorating as I usually just keep out my fall stuff.
But, I have a few little Thanksgiving things that I display now that Halloween is over. I have to admit that it felt good to put away the Halloween decor:)
My favorite is this kitchen towel!
Cute towel options here and here and here
I am anxious to decorate the dining room table for Thanksgiving. I hope to work on that soon!
