Today I writing my last Friday Favorites post of 2017 and my last post of the year! As usual I’m linking up with Erika, Narci and Andrea for Friday Favorites! I’m sharing a bit about my Christmas and what we’ve been up to this week!
Christmas Morning Fun
How early did you get woken up Christmas morning?! Our eight year old woke us up at four in the morning thinking it was time to get up! Poor guy…we sent him back to bed. Our kids got us up (officially) around 6:30 a.m. but they had been up talking in their room since 5 a.m.! We had a full morning of opening presents and playing with our new gifts followed by time with family the rest of the day. Needless to say, by the end of Christmas day everyone was very tired!
This little guy could not hold back a yawn! I think his big brother and sister might have ‘gently’ woken him up!
In only a matter of minutes, our living room was an explosion of wrapping paper and opened boxes!
My husband always makes his reindeer pancakes!
My daughter’s favorite gift was the OwlCrateJr subscription box!
The kids received this Ninja Slacker Line as a gift from Santa! We can’t wait until the snow clears (that’ll be April here in Cleveland!) to set this up in our backyard!
After Christmas Sales
Did anyone snag a good after Christmas deal? I stopped at a few of my favorite stores including Target and Marshalls and I did not find a thing. However, I did find that there were a lot of great online deals! I purchased these Sperry Saltwater boots and this JCrew tank top. Who can beat $8 (after the 30% off coupon code) for a shirt?!
Use code “CHEERS” for an extra 30% off sale items!
***Also, if you are not using Ebates yet, you are missing out! Anytime I shop online, I am sure to order through my Ebates account. Most online retailers participate and you can earn 1-20% CASH BACK on your online purchases. I was able to earn 8% cash back on my Sperry boots! I’ve earned over $600 since I started my account several years ago. You can sign up through my code and earn $10 immediately by opening an account!***
2017 Wrap Up
In case you missed my post on Wednesday, I shared details on my first four months of blogging! I really had no idea what to expect when I started a blog, but I have enjoyed every minute of it. I am excited for what 2018 will bring!
My family and friends are some my most faithful blog followers. I am so thankful for all of you! This ornament my mom got me pretty much sums up my life right now!
New Year’s Eve
Today, we have out of town friends arriving to celebrate New Year’s Eve together. I can’t wait! We have been ringing in the New Year with these friends for 14 years. Every New Year’s Eve my friend and I send the husbands out with the kids while we get the house set up for the night. We plan our theme and menu together and spend the afternoon getting things set up.
The kids expect bigger and better every year and always get excited for the ‘big reveal’. I will be sure to share some of our plans on Instagram and Facebook over the weekend! Be sure to check out my Family Friendly New Year’s Eve post for more ideas!
