Happy Friday! I hope you had a great week. The kids are off for a nice 4 day weekend, so I am hoping some fun family time. As always, I am sharing some Friday Favorites in home, style and family! Have a wonderful weekend!

Valentine’s Hot Chocolate Bar

Last Friday, I mentioned I spotted a lot of cute Valentine’s decor at Target and this week, I went back and bought a few things. I set up a little Valentine’s Day hot chocolate bar with some of my Target finds and things I already had around the house.

If you like all the seasonal decor at the Target One Spot, go soon as Valentine’s Day stuff is already selling out! You can see everything I purchased from Target in this post!

Valentine's Day hot chocolate bar

The kids noticed some of the Valentine’s Day decor as soon as they got home from school. I think half of the candy is gone already:)

Since yesterday afternoon felt like a Friday with no school today, we had an after school hot cocoa treat!

Spring Evereve Catalog

If you have been following me awhile, you have heard me talk about Evereve Clothing. I have a clothing subscription with Trendsend (which is their own clothing box). Over the weekend, I got the winter/spring catalog and I loved everything! I didn’t think I would be saying this but I love all the tie-dye clothing!

While Evereve clothing is more than what you would spend a discount stores like Target, Amazon, etc., the quality is great and the styles are always spot on.

I ended up with this tie-dye jumpsuit. The tie dye print is just the right amount of tie-dye look for me. It was a little bit of a splurge but I had some reward dollars. We have a few fun trips coming up this spring, so I am excited to have it.

The jumpsuit hasn’t arrived yet or I would share with you here (hopefully next week!).

Meatless Dinner Option

Are you trying to eat more meatless meals this year? We inevitably end up with one or two nights a week that we do not have meat due to pizza night (without meat toppings) or breakfast for dinner (eggs, fruit and cinnamon rolls). However, I would love more vegetarian meals in our rotation.

Sweet Earth send me a package of their plant based protein grounds. We used the grounds for a taco dinner night and I have to say the product was really good! My daughter and I loved the taste and texture and the boys agreed that it wasn’t too bad. While the taste wasn’t exactly the same as ground beef, the texture was really similar and was PERFECT in tacos.

My daughter has already asked me to buy it for a meal soon!

Glow in the Dark Basketball

Also this week, we tested out some new glow in the dark basketballs we got for Christmas. They are such a hit and make basketball practice at night so fun! I would definitely recommend them!

We also got LED hoop lighting to go with the basketballs. My husband made sure I did NOT recommend this product. The ratings are not positive on Amazon and it was a little tricky to set up. The lights do work, but we do not have a seal of approval for them!

Night Out for a Good Cause

Next weekend, my husband and I are invited to attend a fundraiser for the Allison Rose Foundation. When you hear the story about Allison Rose, it will touch your heart. Allison (Ally) had a severe food allergy and as she was growing up, her family made sure that the rest of her family, friends, school and community were all aware. Unfortunately, when she went off to college, she lost her safety net when it came to being protected from her peanut allergy. One tragic night, she had an anaphylactic  reaction to something she ate. She died several days later due to the oxygen loss during the anaphylaxis.

Often amazing things come out of tragedy and Allison’s family has dedicated their lives to supporting families with food allergies. Their mission of The Allison Rose Foundation (ARF) is dedicated to changing the lives of food allergy families through education, awareness, research and advocacy.

Local friends, you can join us at this special night out.. Or if you know of someone who might benefit from this organization, please pass along the info! All the details HERE:

Clear the Clutter Week 2

This week we worked on our living room and family room spaces! I shared some of my best tips for family room organization over here.

As part of this week’s challenge, I put a question out on Instagram on what to do with puzzles you have finished. We just finished a 1000 piece puzzle and while we had so much fun with it, I don’t see us every doing this exact same one again.

There were some great ideas including: Host a Puzzle Swap with Friends and even simpler, just pass on the puzzle to a friend!

As we finish up this week’s declutter project, we can look ahead to next week which is BEDROOMS! I am working specifically on my master bedroom. Check back on Monday for all the details!

That about wraps up this week’s Friday Favorites! Check back on Monday for our latest Clear the Clutter Challenge! I am linking up with Erika, Narci and Andrea for this Friday Favorites post, so be sure to head over to their blogs as well!

We were supposed to only have a 3 day weekend but today is a snow day. I’m sure hot chocolate will be had later! We use Trader Joe’s beefless beef for our tacos and it is pretty good. We have a puzzle that we made into a poster and hung on the wall!
