Happy Friday! I keep saying this but summer weeks really fly by! Last week, I did not get a chance to post a Friday Favorites and I almost debated if I could have time for one today. Even though the kids have been home the last three months, somehow the summer seems more hectic! Maybe you can relate. Anyway, I am sharing some Favorites of the week in home, style and family!

New Wall Decor
Earlier this week, I got a chance to shop at Homegoods. It was so good to get to the stores and spend some time browsing all the aisles!
I came home with this small shelf console. We had a smaller cabinet in this spot before but I never really loved it. The cabinet did not really go with the rest of the room. I like the look of this shelf more and it goes with the rest of the furniture in the room. Sometimes small changes can make a big difference in a room.
I also spotted these beautiful hand made woven baskets. There were a few different basket options in different sizes and colors. They would be fun for a coffee table or as wall decor.
My wheels started spinning for a new wall display in our family room. Now that I added a new coffee table, I want to continue to change the look of the room a little bit.
I did not buy the baskets at Homegoods, as they were not the right colors for what I am looking for. But, I did purchase a woven basket from a local boutique near me. Since each basket is a little pricey, I will slowly to to my collection until I get enough baskets/bowls to create a wall display.
I love that this basket is handmade and fair trade. Each basket supports a single mom in Rwanda! Even the Homegoods options are handmade too!
You can actually find these baskets on Amazon and I have several in my cart right now that I would like to buy.
This wall display from Overanalyzed That is part of the inspiration I have to create our own wall display.
You can find inexpensive basket options like this set of three from World Market. These baskets are all handmade from Vietnam.
There are so many wall basket options out right now, it is just about finding the colors and styles you want.
Summer Reading
Everyone in my family has been doing a lot of reading this summer. I just finished this book, Ask Again, Yes and I highly recommend it! It is the story of two families who are linked and the highs and lows of marriage and family. A lot of deep story lines and it is very moving.
My kids like to read right before bed and my son recently asked for a good book light. Once I ordered this book light and it arrived, my daughter wanted one too! Now, I think I want to order one for myself! It is a compact light and it attaches right to your book. There are several different color options and my daughter picked this aqua one. The light provides up to 60 hours of life until it needs to be recharged.
If you have some bedtime readers in your house, you might want to check out this light.
