Happy Friday! I hope you had a great week. While we did get more snow this week, the best sign of spring is having more daylight hours! Can you believe this Sunday is Daylight Savings? Anyway, as usual I am recapping the week with my Friday Favorites! Sharing a little bit of mom life and my latest favorite finds and products!
Spring Break Swimwear
This past week we booked our spring break trip and the countdown is on. The kids aren’t off until later in April, so we have a bit of time to wait. But I am already getting ready by assessing what we will need to pack. Maybe it is just me, but I start to mentally pack as soon as our trip is booked! Next week I will share some of my favorite spring break items, but in the meantime I wanted to share my favorite swim pieces for kids!
I’ve always gotten long sleeve swim shirts for my boys. It keeps them so much more covered and protected from the sun. These Lands End long sleeved swim shirts are my favorite. I’ve found that if you wait too long in the season to get swim shirts, you can only find short sleeve ones. So, I ended up ordering these shirts and shorts for the boys this week.
St. Patrick’s Day Tops
Another sign of spring is when St. Patrick’s Day rolls around! I got my kids some Lucky Charms over the weekend (our March cereal tradition) and they are off and running on building a leprechaun trap..anyone else’s kids have fun with this?
While our St. Patrick’s Day celebrations are more kid centered than they used to be, I still enjoy getting festive in green. I ordered this inexpensive green shirt from Amazon to get in the spirit.
There are a bunch of cute St. Patrick’s Day shirts that can still be delivered in time for holiday celebrations.
Mom Productivity Tip
Do you find that some particular days of the week you are more motivated to get things done than others? I have recently realized that Thursdays are my get it done day! Knowing this has made a big difference in my productivity. I am trying to make the most of my Thursdays so I can be more organized on the weekend. Consequently, I give myself a little slack on those other days of the week I am not as motivated. Most Thursdays I am cleaning up the house, getting the laundry done and making sure our refrigerator is stocked for the weekend.
I really recommend figuring out what your “best days” are and using those days to your advantage! Make a to-do list and crank everything out that you need to get done!
