Happy Friday friends! We got back a week in Michigan and now I feel like summer is really winding down. I am trying to just enjoy what we have left of summer and not think about back to school just yet! Anyway, it has been a few weeks, but as usual, I am sharing some favorites in home, style and family.

Ohio Family Day Trip Ideas
We have had a great summer checking out local attractions in Northeast Ohio.
A few weekend ago, we spent the day at Put-in-Bay Island. It was a very rainy day but we really had a great time. We tried out a few new restaurants and also revisited some of our favorite Put-in-Bay attractions.
Put-in-Bay is one of our favorite summer traditions! If you are local, you definitely need to add this island to your summer plans.
Also, last month, my son and I took a day trip to Zoar Village. We were invited there to tour this historic town. It was a really fun day as we got the inside scoop from our Zoar Village tour guide.
Plus, we had a delicious meal at a popular local diner.
In a few weeks, we are heading on one more Ohio day trip. It has been fun to have these one tank trips planned throughout the summer.
Comfortable New Sandals
A few weeks ago, I bought my first pair of Teva Sandals. I actually bought a pair of these Teva shoes for my youngest son as well. I wanted sandals that were good with water and sand but also very comfortable. My son is particular about walking in the sand and having wet shoes. So, I thought these sandals would be great for our Michigan trip.
I’m happy to say we both love our new Teva shoes! We wore these shoes all day walking around Put-in-Bay. These shoes are so comfortable! It rained for most of our visit and the shoes dried up quickly. We fared better than those of us that we were wearing tennis shoes in the rain!
Back-to-School Lunch Supplies
I said that I am not trying to think about back-to-school just yet. However, I am trying to do a few things each week to prepare for the transition. I do not want to be scrambling the last week of break.
This week, I took care of some school lunch supplies shopping.
My daughter, who is about to enter high school, picked out this new lunch bag.
We also need to refresh some of our lunch containers. I ordered these new ice packs. They do not leak and they are slim enough to fit in any lunch bag.
These snack containers are our favorites. We have used these for years. I needed to get a new supply as some of our containers “mysterious” disappear. Perhaps lost in the depths of their desks or lockers!
I also ordered two of these small insulated snack bags. This will be good for snacks like cheese, hummus, yogurt and fruit.
My kids can bring them to their after school activities.

Friday Wrap Up
That about wraps up this week’s Friday Favorites. My twelve year old son has been at overnight camp all week and he comes home tomorrow! It has been a quieter house without him. I hope you have a good weekend!
