Take care of YOU!

There is no better time to fill up your cup and take care of yourself.

Why Self Care?

Now, more than ever is it important to practice self-care.

We live in a fast paced world. People wear their busyness badge of honor. But, at the end of the day, when we get a chance to sit down, we are exhausted. There seems to be little time to care of ourselves.

When we take care of ourselves, we are able to:

  • Sleep Better
  • Stay Healthy
  • Maintain Healthy Relationships with Ourselves and Others
  • Have a Positive Outlook
  • Improve Mental Health

What Does Self Care look like?

Self care is taking care of your physical and mental health through healthy habits. These self care practices can be things we do daily, weekly or on a yearly basis. While, self care can sometimes be glamorized as a “needed” trip to the spa or spending a lot of money on something, at its core, self care is really simple activities.

Some examples of Daily Self Care:

Getting enough sleep

Staying Hydrated

Maintaining close relationships with family and friends

Exercising

Eating Well

Getting Fresh Air

Why self care matters for moms…

As a busy mom and wife, I know first hand how easy it is to skip my own self care. I am apt to miss a workout in order to spend more time with my family. I get too busy to pick up the phone and catch up with a friend.

But, over the years, I have realized if I do not take care of my physical and mental well being, everyone suffers. I can not be my best self when I am not taking care of myself.

Self care does not have to be fancy spas and dinners out. Self care is the little things you do for yourself that add up to big results!

With a background in mental health counseling, I look for simple and practical ideas to help others. Since I can not meet each and every one of you for coffee, I have created simple Self Care Printables that you can use on your own.

You are worth it!

The best money well spent is on things you can do to improve your mental and physical well being.

If you want to make Self Care a priority this year, start with these Self Care Worksheets today! You are setting a positive examples for your kids and family when you make the time for you!
