Stitch Fix Review July 2021

What is Stitch Fix?

Stitch Fix offers a clothing subscription service for women, men and children.

  • You decide how often you want to receive a new clothing box.
  • $20 styling fee. The fee is applied to your order if you keep any clothing.
  • Stitch Fix offers  women’s sizes 0-24W & XS-3X,.
  • They also offer subscriptions for children! My daughter has a subscription to Stitch Fix Kids!
  • The average price point is $55 per item but you can decide how much you are willing to pay for each category–pants, tops, accessories, etc.
  • The Stitch Fix women’s line works with over 250 established and up and coming brands. There is clothing for every style type–classic, preppy, edgy, etc! They even offer athleisure clothing and shoes!
  • 25% discount on entire order if you keep 4 or more items.

Stitch Fix started over 10 years ago and it was one of the first women’s clothing subscription boxes. I remember when Stitch Fix first started and all of my friends were giving the service a try. The company has evolved over the years to include men’s and children’s subscription offerings too.

Why is Stitch Fix good?

Currently, I have clothing subscription boxes to Wantable, Evereve and Stitch Fix. Typically, I keep 1-3 items from each order. I love the variety that each of these clothing subscription boxes provide. Each service is a little bit different.

With the exception of an occasional clothing purchase from Amazon or Target, I use these clothing boxes almost exclusively to add to my closet. I LOVE that I do not have to go out and do the shopping. The best part is getting to try on clothing in my own home.

Stitch Fix is a great subscription option because the clothing is pretty well priced as compared to some other clothing services. There is an option to indicate how much you are willing to spend in each clothing category and your stylist tries very hard to stick to that price range.

Stitch Fix June Unboxing

It has been several months since I have received a Stitch Fix clothing box. The last box I scheduled was in the Spring. The summer is my favorite season for clothing. I love to wear dresses and easy breezy styles. I was excited for this month’s Stitch Fix order because there was a lot of variety including a dress, jumpsuit, top, drawstring pants and a skort!

Kaileigh Knit Jumpsuit $56

The first item I tried on in my June Stitch Fix was this black knit jumpsuit by Kaileigh. This style of jumpsuit is so flattering. It had a cinched waist and cross top with a side tie.

I really loved this jumpsuit and I thought it was be so fun for a night out on the town. One thing if I am being honest is that the material was more a polyester blend than a soft knit. So I did not love the feel of it.

In the end, I decided not to keep the jumpsuit because I could not seeing wearing it more than once or twice a season. If I had a specific occasion to wear this in the near future,  I might have considered keeping it.

Market & Spruce T-Shirt Dress $38

The next item in my order was not something that I initially loved. I do like t-shirt dresses a lot and I find that I throw them on a lot in the summer.

But I wasn’t sure if the color was great on me. However, when I shared my Stitch Fix box on Instagram and this dress was one of the favorites.

I reconsidered the dress.  I decided it was a great color for early fall when it is still so hot outside but I want to wear fall colors.

One5One Wide Leg Pant $38

Another fun item in my Stitch Fix was these Black Wide Leg Pants. The pattern has some purple and hot pink.

The pink tassels on the drawstring are a cute detail.

Ultimately, I think the pattern is a little too busy for me and I did not know if I’d wear these enough to be worth buying.

Papermoon One Pocket Tee $38

Speaking of pink details, this pocket tee by Papermoon had the cutest pink trim! This was a basic tee with a lot of extra details.

The back of the tee had buttons from top to bottom.

You can not go wrong with a black and white striped tee.

Because I liked other items in my Stitch Fix, I decided not to keep this top. It was a little bit pricier for a top.

Gaiam Skort $36

Last but not least I received this Gray skort. Funny enough, I thought it was purple until I read the description. I guess it could look purple or gray depending on the lighting.

Once I put on this skort, I did not take it off for the day. It is the perfect bottom for a summer day when I am running around with the kids.

I thought that the price was really reasonable for this item, especially when you can expect to pay almost double the price at a place like Athleta.

What I Thought

Overall, this was a great Stitch Fix box! I got so much variety and a lot of great pieces I would wear again and again. Compared to some other orders, the June Stitch Fix items were at a nice price point. I could not keep everything but I am so happy with the two items I did buy.

Stitch Fix Promo Code 2021

Now that I have been subscribed to Stitch Fix for several years I can honestly say I am pleased with the service! It is so fun to receive new clothing in the mail that is personally styled for me. I don’t always like everything and I don’t end up keeping all the items. But, Stitch Fix provides inspiration for me to come up with new looks for each season.
