Inexpensive Valentine’s Day Decor
Valentine’s Day is one of my favorite holidays to celebrate with my family. Maybe it is because it is a bright spot in the middle of winter or perhaps because I love red and pink! You don’t have to go all out on Valentine’s Day decorations to celebrate. But, it is fun and festive to add a few little Valentine’s touches around the home. Plus, my kids appreciate the little things that I do for each holiday.
This year, I put together a Valentine’s Day Hot Chocolate Bar and I think it’s the perfect amount of Valentine’s love to go around. We have been on a hot chocolate kick (myself included), so I knew Valentine’s Day and hot cocoa would be a perfect match.
I love decorating for the holidays but I don’t love spending a ton of money on seasonal decor that is only out for a few weeks or a month! For this hot chocolate bar, I found things at the Target Dollar Spot plus used what I had on hand.
The cute Valentine’s Day pink mugs were $5 for a set of 2. Also, I stocked up on all of the Valentine’s candy. I love edible holiday decorations because you use it up and don’t have to save in a box for next year! The pink cupcake stand was from the Target Dollar Spot a few years ago.
Last year, I found pink heart marshmallows. I need to see if I can find them again.
Then, I created a few Valentine’s Day printables to complete the look. The frame for the Valentine’s print was from the Dollar Store.
Valentine’s Hot Chocolate Bar
The way to your family’s heart is through their bellies. (half kidding). But really, nothing brightens someone’s day like a sweet snack or dessert! I like hot chocolate bars/stations because it can be self-service for older kids and adults!

The printable Valentine’s Day hot chocolate recipe card makes it easy for everyone to make up their own batch. As a bonus, this recipe makes 4 servings, so whoever makes it can share with the family:)
If you want to keep things really easy, you could even add single serving hot chocolate packets to this hot cocoa bar. That makes it nice and easy for those quick, individual treats. Grab hot cocoa packets at the Dollar Store!
I had a hard time choosing which Valentine’s Day hot chocolate print to display. I just might rotate them or find a spot for each print:)

Do you want to create your own Valentine’s Day hot chocolate bar? First, grab these Valentine’s Day printables and print out on nice cardstock. I used frames from the Dollar Store for these prints! Next, stock your station with a few cute Valentine’s Day touches. I always suggest looking around your home first to see what you might have on hand. (In this case, anything pink or red!). Then, add in a few cute, inexpensive Valentine’s Day decorations.
Current e-mail subscribers can download these prints in the Printables Library!
The nice part about creating this Hot Chocolate set up is that it can easily be adapted to a winter theme after Valentine’s Day. Just swap out a few of the pink or red accessories with more neutral pieces.
These are some of my Valentine’s Day decor favorites!
